i know. that was one brief moment i felt like we might lose control. but then rose and booze came back and .... well its a combination of a guy that can post up with a guy who is absolutely impossible to guard. you cant even double team rose, it doesnt matter... so you might as well just double team booze because thats your only chance of stopping one of those guys. but that leaves rose 1on1 with a man wide open unguarded somewhere.... the bulls have an incredible amount of wide open "were not even going to run out there and try to get to you" shot selections. thats where it demoralizing for other teams, because you HAVE to chose a deadly poison.

As a NBA fan, I really hate that the teams show up to play about 50% of the time.

Gotta close this game out. Down to a 7 point lead with 2:12 left.

i dont think thats fair. how many days at work are your best absolutely awesome performance days? and these guys have to be mentally and physically 110% for 100% of the time, its not possible.

Bogans with a -16 tonight? If they could address that position just imagine the possibilities. Aside from that Boozer seems to be settling in and things are looking very good.

Bulls win 88-84.

4 in a row.
Continue their dominance of the Western Conference.

It's time to stop the Bogan experiment at the 2 guard. Either Brewer or Korver can do more than him. I personally like Korver more in the second unit.

this was one of the best games to watch of the season so far. rose is an absolute star. boozer actually seems average playing next to him... they all do.

kobe did look outta shape though. i thought so at least.

It is good to see Rose emerging into an elite player. He now is not afraid to close out games. Very good sign.

the bulls need to be aggressive in assembling some sort of a team that can contend around rose ASAP. as bernstein touched on in the last day or two, derrick's game is largely predicated on that raw athleticism and i'm still a bit worried that he might age more like iverson as opposed to jordan. still though, with this being the first season that derrick has had a real coach in the NBA, i really liek the direction that they're pointed in.

i'm very interested to see what kind of moves they can swing at the break... they need to upgrade the starting 2-guard situation and send bogans out to pasture somewhere behind the point tard on the depth chart. also, someone needs to answer my prayers and take LOL to match salaries for a real basketball player.

I'm not buying the Iverson comparison because physically he's a horse compared to Iverson. Iverson was probably 160 lbs and not very muscular so he got tossed around like a rag doll. Rose is able to take a beating because he puts the work in the weight room.

oh i wasn't meaning to compare derrick to iverson directly, i meant that he might age more like iverson as opposed to jordan. i think iverson was barely six feet tall in sneakers, whereas derrick rose is right around 6'3"-6'4" and i guess what i'm getting at is that the fearmongering side of me worries that so much of his game right now is based around athletic dominance that i want the bulls to take advantage of it while it's there.

then again, jordan used to blow by everyone and be a superathlete and his jumper wasn't all that, but as the athleticism toned down he worked and worked and worked on that shot and balanced it out. derrick has shown such a noticeable improvement in his jump shot from last season to this season that if he keeps working like that i think it very well could be a non-factor.

either way, bulls, i'm impatient get working dammit.

btw, 2014 will be a glorious year in chicago sports because that's when luol deng and alfonso soriano are scheduled to come off of the books. the difference is that, feasibly, someone could end up taking deng. maybe. hopefully? please?

rose walks down the court with the ball, game on the line, he keeps it and scores when 5 other guys all are trying to stop him. the jordan comparisons are real, we just cant claim it yet because he has to keep this pace up for about 8 more years at least....

It was a big game for Rose. He's finally starting to put it all together. He's only 22, which would be his last year of college if he didn't get drafted. So you have to think that he can become a better player.

Beating the Lakers is a big deal, but blowing out the Celtics, Magic or Heat would be more of a statement in my view. The Bulls just need a 2 guard who hits every open shot and for Luol Deng to keep making open shots. Teams will eventually double Rose and the other guys need to make them pay.
