The Bears will be just fine. This was just one game in the grand scheme of things. The Pats will take care of Green Bay next week, and a Favre-less Minny will be weak sauce for Chicago.

So in other words they will once again beat a team missing at least one key player, get those tickets to Dallas while you can.

Take what you can get, right Chicago?

Ugie, is everything ok? You have been pretty mild in your response to the Pats destroying the Bears yesterday?

What a mismatch...and a letdown after big hopes and expectations all week. We see once again that there is a huge gap between a good team and a great team, between talented players and a TEAM, between being a coach and actually coaching.

We call it Bear weather, but (macho short-sleeves aside), we didn't seem prepared for it -- or the Patriots -- at all. Since it looked like an ice rink or the Winter Classic, maybe we should have worn skates, or let the Blackhawks play, or at least sent out the Bearhawks...

For those of us who aren't completely sold on Lovie, this was the best thing
to happen to the Bears. I'd like to see them get back to work and play well
against Minny next week and we'll find out what happens if we make the playoffs.
If the Bears extend Lovie anytime sooner than the middle of next season they
are idiots. Clearly they aren't as good as some had them built up to be, but
I still think they could make some waves if they get in the playoffs.

Those are nothing but meatball thoughts and I refuse to acknowledge them with a reply.

That team that beat us yesterday got shit smeared by the Cleveland Browns 34-14 in early November. Right now the Patriots are playing unbelievably, that might not be the case 4 weeks from now. Just make the playoffs.

It's often not who you play, but when you play them.

There is no team in the NFL that would have beaten the Pats the last few weeks. The Steelers and Jets both got whipped.

The Pats are a very good team playing at an elite level, while the Bears are a good team at best.

If the Bears would have played them earlier in the season, maybe the Bears win.

Just hope the Pats continue their hot streak next week.

Thats why everyone wants him to be the next coach.

The Bears will kick the shit out of the Vikings on Monday, the Packers will lose to NE in Foxboro next week and I believe the Jets are being exposed as pretenders. The Green Bay game is a pick em in my opinion.

This game sucked, but is not a division game and the Packers lost to the fucking Lions today fer Chrissakes.

All these jags writing in to Comcast saying the Bears are losers and have been exposed are retards.

The players have the right attitude and I believe Lovie does too.

Yup its all about having the right attitude and not executing your plays, thats what gets you playoff wins.

I don't want Cowher here. What the fuck is going to do better than Lovie has this year? Spit on players? Didn't Pittsburgh run his ass outta there eventually?

I remember last year when Urlacher and Pisa were out and no one in the media said, "Well they beat the Bears because Urlacher was out." You play the teams you play and that's it. If someone gets hurt, too fucking bad. A win is a win.

Also, the players said the exact right shit in the interviews.

1. They got their asses kicked.
2. They played a great QB and team.
3. If they want to be the best, they must put forth a better effort and defensive scheme than they just did.
4. They aren't satisfied with where they are at.

No one is feeling sorry for themselves and I guarantee they will fuck up TJ or Favre next Monday night.

The 2008 Arizona Cardinals won the NFC despite getting destroyed by the Patriots 47-7 in week 16 and finishing 9-7. While I am not predicting the Bears to make the Super Bowl, today's loss is not a death sentence.

Believe it or not, that's the first thing Hall of Famer WR and Westwood One's James Lofton told Dan Patrick at the start of a gab session this morning on Dan's syndicated show. The part about the Cardinals getting hammered by the Patriots...
