I think I'm at about 5, but as they've gotten bigger, I'd rather listen to the studio albums. I really like 21st Century Breakdown.

I think Eaglo said he was at that show too.

I actually prefer Am. Idiot to 21st Cent.
But I agree - they were a lot more fun in concert back in the day.

I think I'm gonna put the # of times I've seen them in the "embarrassing moment thread". Along with Blink, No Doubt, 311, more.....I like a lot of questionable bands.

Blink = bad, but I saw No Doubt before they got all poppy and they weren't bad, and 311 live has been outstanding both times I saw them.

Blink did some promotional tour in 01 at smaller venues and i went. It was them, a young alkaline trio and the ataris. Those 2 bands blew them off the stage and it was a fun as hell show.

I've seen all of those bands listed 5+ times. No Doubt was always a good show until I saw them at Aragon and Gwen screamed "Thank you Indiana!!!!!" several times during the encore.

If they got back together, I'd probably go see them again, depending on where they are at. Hell, I'd pretty much go see anything that isn't over-produced Nashville-type country or affiliated with American Idol.

Blink is like old Green Day - real simple, silly rock. They're as much sideshow act as rock band.

Ataris suck, dude.

I saw Alkaline Trio at UIC with My Chemical Romance. It was some Q101 thing, and they were the openers. I got free tickets from some promotion they did, and I've been a fan ever since. My Chemical Romance, not so much.

The Ataris put on a good show. That was another of my fun Aragon experiences...or was it Metro...I can't remember.

They were a good first act for that show. Blink are terrible musicians. They sound like shit live. I will give it to them that they play as is instead of bringing the extra players behind the amps like green day does. In the show I went to, Green day sounded good and blink sounded like shit, but they were cool with that i think.

I saw Cherry Poppin Daddies in Vegas. Didn't plan on it, but saw they were playing and got tix right before the show. We had nothing else to do so we went. It was weird.

Gin Blossoms
David Lee Roth
A girl I was dating around 2001 (just before my ex wife) had gotten tickets for us, her friend, and that chick's boyfriend for Train. It was somewhere in the city (I don't remember where), and we stopped for dinner. We were running really early, so we went into the bar and there was a Flyers playoff game going on. The girls walked down to the show, and left 2 tickets with me and the other guy. We missed the show because the game went into triple OT. I spent 60 bucks for a cab back to Arlington Heights because I got dumped for missing the show. that was Glorious.

Good choice missing Train.

I'll give you some of mine slowly, to try and drag more out of you guys:

Offspring - twice. (once at Aragon, once at Eagles in Milwaukee)

Offspring twice as well...once at UIC, once at the UC for Q101 twisted. Also saw Papa Roach, Live, Everlast, and Incubus that night. There were good points to that show though...Disturbed, The Deftones, and Cypress Hill

With you on Gin Blossoms SJB. They opened for Dave at Tinley. They aren't bad.... when you hear one song on the radio. When they do a whole set you realize that it's the same damn song over and over again.

Disturbed is bad. I'm not even counting bad bands I've seen at any festival setting - I'm talking headlining bands that I've seen, intentionally.

I saw the band that the lead singer of Gin Blossoms started after they broke up the first time:
Gas Giants (at Park West).

Yeah, but it's a better song than a lot of bands have.

That was another night that the girl I was dating wanted to see them. The bright point of that show was Soul Asylum.

I think Gin Blossoms aren't terrible - they know how to write a catchy sad song.

They fall into the category of studio recordings I don't mind, but live, they suck.

Saw them with Jimmy Page in Tinley Park

My first concert was Jimmy Buffett at Poplar Creek. It was a father's day gift for my dad.
