Anyone else think this game is not going to be as easy as people are making it out to be. Sure the Bears held Peterson down last game but he usually runs all over them. Also their D is strongest where the Bears are weakest, along the lines. On the good side, I'd be shocked if the Vikings didn't turn the ball over 3+ times. While this will be a home game for the Vikings, it is nowhere near the noise of the Metrodome.

I say Bears win 21-10.

If Favre plays I don't think it will be.

If it is someone else they won't score enough to be a threat.

Joe Webb has some fucking wheels on him, but I'm not sure he can do anything else at this juncture in his NFL career.

I thought Spudd Webb was Joe Friday.

No qb means that Peterson will be getting 30+ carries in this game, which is probably what Childress should have been doing from the beginning. I don't think the Bears will completely shut him down. I think the defensive game plan should change with 8 men in the box. The problem with that is the Vikings WR can certainly beat the Bears CB and I would think Ramsey could at least handle a play action pass.

First of all, moment of silence please for JACK Webb...Thank you. He's the actor/producer/director of the classic groundbreaking cop series "Dragnet" from 1951-1959 on CBS in black & white and again from 1967-1970 in color on NBC. Jack died of a heart attack in 1982. Jack was "Sgt. Joe Friday" and those were "Just the Facts..."

Now, regardless of where the Bears & Vikings end up playing, there are reports that the just signed Patrick Ramsey might get the start for the Vikes with news that Joe Webb has an injured hamstring. Joe was the primary backup to Tarvaris Jackson last Monday in the 21-3 loss to the Giants. Jackson's 2010 season is officially over thanks to turf toe in that same loss.

Regardless of where they play, I think the Bears get it done...23-3 to clinch the NFC North.

This is just me, but I can't think of a bigger "I don't give a shit" game than this one. I think the circle jerk regarding where this is going to be played has killed any enjoyment I would have had.

I think this is the first time I have seen or heard a moment of silence asked for someone who has been dead a quarter century. Aren't they usually given for someone whose death was a little more recent, like within the previous week?

Peterson 2009:

25 carries, 85 yards
24 carries, 94 yards

You have to go back to 2008 for a game that's been good, and even those games weren't all that fantastic.

According to Mike Mulligan, Peterson hurt his knee against the Giants and has been a little slow in practice this week.

Also according to Mike Mulligan, losing that steam shovel was the worst fucking day of his life.

I have never heard a team of whiny little bitches complain about the field conditions in Minny like the Bears have done this week. This is one time that I actually wish Lovie staff & his smith would call a team meeting & tell the players to SHUT THE FUCK UP.

No more bitching and whining. Game is officially going to be outside at TCF stadium.

This is stupid. It's still probably better than what's at soldier field. I think the Bears will win but it will be close. They could lose but I think they can pull this one out.

it sounds like the field is in pretty good shape, all the snow is gone and the tarp is going on with heaters blowing for the next couple of days. the players will be more comfortable on that field than the fans on those aluminum bleachers. overall it looks like they are doing a pretty good job getting that stadium ready.

If the Vikings are smart, AP will sit this game out. This game means nothing to the Vikes, he's banged up, lousy weather conditions, why risk further injury?

Latest I heard was there could be a few inches of snow coming down during game time. Field may be good now, but without the coils, it could get ugly during the actual game.

What kind of competitor sits out just cause he is in a little pain and his team is out of the playoffs? Just because you don't want to face him doesn't mean he is going to be a pussy and sit out.

Viking punter is tweeting that the field is unplayable and that if anyone hits their head on the ground they will get a concussion. He is saying the game will be a trainwreck.

If I was the Vikes head coach I would fine any player who is bitching & moaning about the field & predicting doom & gloom. Its gonna be 20 degrees at game time. Lots of football games have been played on unheated fields in 20 degree weather. For the love of God, shut up already about the field...especially a punter!

Lots of football games have been played with leather helmets too. It doesn't make it safe.

Well, the Patriots did their job (just barely) and beat Green Bay. Now all the Bears have to do is win and the division is ours.
