And you know what? There were Bulls fans and media members that were PISSED that Reinsdorf didn't fire Krause and give Jordan the GM job. Say what you want about Jerry Krause (and Paxson for that matter), but if Jordan had been running the Bulls, we'd be the T-Wolves right now.

Jordan just needs to be a "silent" partner in the team and make his day to day activities consist of being a celebrity/aging legend/personality, a la the '85 Bears.

That is not really fair to Ditka. He was a really good head coach and won a superbowl. Jordan has never done anything like that in his post NBA career.
