Okay, this has been bothering me the past few weeks, and I am surprised nobody here has mentioned it.

Seems to me that since that Seahawks game, Peppers has lost a lot of effectiveness in his pass rush. I can't remember correctly, but I believe he got neutralized that game by a rookie OT, and I also recall him going down and sitting a few plays out after an injury to his leg or a stinger or something, that I think he reinjured a game or two later on a goal line stand.

Have other teams just figured out how to scheme or technique him out of effectiveness? Or is he hampered a bit by a physical ailment of some sort.

If any of you experts out there has anything resembling an inside take on this, I sure would like to be educated.

Is he capable of playing like the guy that took Stafford out for the season in game 1?

Between Peppers sucking at the beginning of the year and him sucking in the second half of the year, he is the worst signing in Bears history. Maybe NFL history.

Idonije was making more impact plays before the Seattle game as well. I think that either the opposition has figured out a technique to tame him or he is injured in some way.

You want a serious answer? Here goes: your opinions thus far, both in sports-related matters and matters of radio opinion, have proven remarkably similar to an another poster. That poster has regularly proven himself completely out of his element on many topics, including football. You did yourself no favors by seeming so similar to him in so many ways.

More specifically, no, I haven't noticed that Peppers has been unimpressive after the Seahawks game. Maybe I failed to notice it because he's had six sacks and 10 quarterback hits during that time, along with several other tackles for loss and passes defensed. Maybe it's because he was just named a starter on the pro bowl team. Maybe it's because a number of useful but mediocre defensive linemen have become much, much better since he came to the team, suggesting that maybe (just maybe) Peppers is getting these numbers while absorbing an inordinate amount of attention.

But I'll try to notice these things better in the future.
