that's okay. i was kind of whining in that post. was angry, disillusioned and was tired of hearing the "no one picked us" stuff.

just enjoy the victory guys. worry about the colts next week.

Nas.. I'm hoping your signature wasn't exactly prophetic.. if so, we're leaving a lot up to chance.. "lead the Bears to the SuperBowl"... kinda would have liked your prediction to have included a victory. :)

It did include a victory. Unfortunately the team I thought they would beat was the Chargers.

I suppose I can see that.. Rex is running to hug the trophy in your sig.. which can only happen when the beloved destroy the colts in the first half (and.. yes.. this is a bad joke warning...remember.. you've been warned..) and then beat a dead horse in the second half. GO BEARRSSS!!

And I'm very glad it isn't the Chargers in the SB..

Some of you guys sound like the players..."we don't get any respect"...waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. How silly. You guys would have liked it better had all the ESPN a-holes, whom you guys can't stand anyway, would have picked the Bears? These guys are wrong more than they are right. I was happy they were on the other side.

Salisbury has already come out this morning on ESPN TV and picked the Colts to win the Super Bowl. You should be happy about that, too. it doesn't mean he doesn't respect the Bears. It means he doesn't know shit about football. Hopefully, all the others will follow.

Exactly. I was thinking about whether I should play the Bears or the over harder on Sunday morning. When I Uncle Rico's bloated face choose the Saints, I thought back to his 59% success rate, regardless of line. He helped me to make up my mind.

Personally, i wasn't bothered that the "experts" picked the Saints. What bothered me was that it seemed that the experts constantly talked about the Bears flaws but rarely mentioned Saint weaknesses.

You would rarely hear about the Saints's #23 rush defense or how Westbrook tore up the Saints in the divisional round. But you did hear how Shaun Alexander gained 100 yards against the Bears.

The Saints defense forced fewer than 20 turnovers all year and had -4 turnover ratio. How many times did we hear this bit of info.

And all the talk about the New Years Eve disaster regarding the Bears yet the Bears lost that game to a Hall of Fame QB maybe playing in his last game. The game meant nothing to the Bears while the Packers had all the emotion and had a 3 game winning streak.

The Saints lost to a bad Redskin team starting an experienced QB at home when the Saints were still playing for the # 2 seed. Not much was made of that.

Tom Waddle said it best, when did the Saints become the Steelers of the 70's?

Actually, I was good and passed out when you made this post. Saw all the Bears game, though, plus it's still on the TIVO. Gonna find a way to save it to the computer, cause that bitch is in high-def. I'll try to make a torrent for it if anyone wants a copy.

Hey Nas: I was wrong! The Bears D suddenly remembered they were good and dominated the game. Here's another take: should the Bears find a way to keep both backs? After watching Jones last night, it'd be awfully tough to just let him walk. I love Cedzilla, but damn, change-of-pace between those two presents obvious difficulties for the opposition.

Bad Rex is still nowhere to be found; he didn't play well for the most part, but he didn't turn over the ball, so his performance was certianly acceptable. I hereby remove my sig and avatar photos; the Bears have restored my faith.

BEARS!

Matt we need you to bash Rex and the Bears one more game. The last time you jumped on the bandwagon the Patriots beat the Bears.

LOL, I know! Midway through the first half, after seeing the D dominate, I was just about to post "I think I was wrong: they're gonna win," but then I thought better of it. The Bears actually said all the negative pub helped them focus; maybe a everyone should gear up the doubt!

I'll surely do that, under the following conditions:

1. my roommate hasn't already deleted it
2. I'm able to connect my PC and that Comcast box (I'm guessing I'll have to install linux to do it).
3. the format the thing's recorded in is viewable and/or changeable to a viewable format

Assuming these conditions, I'll put it up for anyone who wants in on the board.

EDIT: Just talked to the roomy, and he hasn't deleted it. An internet search revealed instructions on connecting the Motorola box to the PC and downloading video content, as well as converting it to DVD format for those who'd prefer it (which, I'm sure, most of you would). I'll get on that tonight.

Well, there's gonna be a wait on that, folks. Effin' 6-pin to 6-pin firewire cable required to do this transfer is $35 at Best Buy, which is the only store that even carried it. I ordered it online last night, so hopefully it will be here by the weekend. I'll start a thread when I have it.

That said, rant time: what the hell is with all of these electronics stores and their pact to rape their customers on cables? There is a legitimate conspiracy afoot here; how is it I can buy a cable online for $7, but it costs between $25 and $35 dollars? I got a good look at all kinds of cables; USB cables, HDMI cables, RCA cables, you name it, I saw it. The one thing they all had in common, at every single store was the fact that they were ridiculously overpriced. That is some seriously irritating shit when you need one lousy cable to do one simple task. Eff those ass-raping bastards; if they all want to collude and rape their customers on cables, I say we as customers boycott cable purchases. Enough is enough.

Thanks for doing this. You don't know how much it is appreciated.

And I hear you on the cables. Best Buy is a rip off and so is Radio Shack. They sell little batteries at triple the cost for what you can get them on-line.

And sometimes people think that Sam's Club has the lowest price. Not always so. Fequently I can walk across the parking lot and find the exact same thing at Wal-Mart for less. And they are the same company! I guess companies count on people not taking the time to think and look before buying...
