At the end of a mind-numbing interview on North's Youtube site of Big Time Attorney David Spada and Elliot Harris, the "Charlie Rose of Park Ridge," Mike North, says he's going to bring their new show to "Fox Sports."

Spada also says he would stay on WIND if they "offer us more money to stay."

the term kingmaker is apt here... speculating as to the actual kingdom which will pledge fealty to lord spada is irrelevent. the fact that north has managed to get one of "[his] guise!!!!" into the lucrative business of talking about sports for even a few cents on the dollar is cool.

the criticisms of the archduke of injury have been served ad nauseum. what's crystal clear is that no matter what we do think or say the goodship bearly legal continues to sail, which in and of itself is quite admirable.

while we've been regaled with countless stories of nort's rampant douchebaggery, and yeah his britches ended up being undersized in the long run, it seems that at least if you're one of "[his] guise!!!!" he'll look out for you and at least make sure he's got a few buddies to fiddle with on the titanic.

maybe it's the yule log burning brightly, but i'm glad that spada has a chance to live out one of his dreams. he might not have the most dynamic show ever (i think i listened to 5 mins once) and his guestlist might as well be a comedic motief, but hey, at least he's got a show and if NORT is going to hook him up with more listeners via the coattail express, god bless him.

North used to do daily reads for Spada back in the day. "My Guy!!!" So, he picks up some of the residual hatred for North. Which is amusing, because, Spada's reads aren't what catapulted North. (If so, hatred is also due to the "Little Guys".)

As for Spada doing a show as a semi-hobby thing, its fine by me. Obviously he gets a charge out of interviewing his childhood heroes.

I'm not sure what the Fox deal is. Is North buying time, there, too? And acting as his own broker for ads? Or are they looking for unique types of sports shows? Then, Spada's interviewing 70s and 80s greats hits a demo. North hits a "meatball" demo.

I actually watched the interview now.

Highlights:

Spada - Obama will appoint Oprah Ambassador to Africa (apparently they all merged into one country - Spada, why didn't you send me the memo?)

North (without any sense of irony) - I don't think it's a good idea for Oprah to leave her channel 7 show and start her own network.

North also about Oprah - when you're up here it hurts to be down here.
