What I give depends on how much I like the particular person. When my dumbass cousin got married on a Sunday in football season, he got my mere presence and 25 bucks.

Different cousin got married on Preakness weekend, I skipped the ceremony to go watch the race, and the bride and groom were rewarded with $200 because I won $1000 at the track.

I always give $182 for presents.

100$ is a lot....and I felt the B&B roast was definitely worth it. The roast itself was so-so, but Roger meeting his idol and calling him larry was priceless

Thats a good plan. Either cash, a massage chair, or a big screen TV. Just don't give a labelmaker.

I give $100 minimum for a wedding if I'm solo and upwards of $250 if it's family or close friends.

yeah, i felt bad but i didn't go to a wedding a few months back because i wouldn't have been able to give more than $50 solo, and that just seemed like low-rent to me... even tho one can argue the friend knew i wasn't going to be a big money guy and still invited me regardless, you know, gotta have standards.

if we end up doing wu-tang this weekend i'll take him and the wifey out for a nice dinner.... shrug.

The amount of the present also depends on the venue. If you're having it at the Jolly Inn with a buffet, it doesn't take much to cover the cost of your plate. On the other hand, if you are having it at the Drake...fuck you, you are going to have a nice trust fund and don't need my money. In conclusion, the present is my presence.

My guess is there is no way Ozzie can keep his trap shut throughout and will ruin the fun of the roast...and he will get piss drunk and hold a grudge.

I usually try and give $150 or so for weddings. If its a close friend Ill fuck with their math and say $153.89 or some shit. Keeps me entertained at least.
