Give Rose another couple years and they don't lose this game.
unless the rest of the team is worse then it is now. the bulls are a WAAAYYYY better team then what they showed tonight. rose was one of the few who actually gave a fuck, as usual.
Rose is damn good, just not at that killer elite level yet. I believe he will get there. MJ just flat out refused to lose.
Did he have the fire and the passion?
He had the killer instinct second to none. Just an incredible force of personality.

If the Bulls had Nowitzki , they win this game.

I agree he is usually out of control (and a risk) but sometimes he does give you a spark which they clearly needed in that 3rd Qtr. Esp with 4 games in 5 nights. If he was in crazy mode, bench him, but it was worth a shot IMO.

Maybe. I think Thibbs was hoping his core guys would nut up and play defense. They didn't.

Look at the scoreboard. They gave up 32 points in the fucking 3rd quarter. I'm sure you realize how much energy it takes to make up that deficit. Sometimes going deep into your bench works, sometimes it doesn't. As for Deng, he was Dung in the clutch which is nothing new. But he has played well this year. I will give him that.

Yes because no top player ever misses a big shot.

Maybe that's why he benched Boozer in the 4th Qtr. Sending a message...

even if it does take a lot of energy, the bulls didnt expel any during the 4th quarter 13 point rally. that was pretty much all rose. and then hes the dumbass for not closing the game? stop watching the last 2min of games and believing youre charles barkley.

I watched the entire game. Rose blew the last play. He is learning to become an assassin, but is not quite there yet.

Jordan was a cold blooded killer. No hesitation, no indecision. Just execution - period. Rose needs to adopt that mindset. If he can, he will be a top 5 player for years to come. Right now, he is damn good and a perenial All Star but not quite at that elite Kobe, MJ level.

indecision? if anything it looked like he had his mind made up to take a 3, but did you see anyone coming up to set a screen or help him out at all? god hlep me I'm agreeing with Ike here but he's right- there's 5 seconds left and you can't advance the ball....that's not easy.

That last was posession was bad all around. Thibs should not have burnt his last timeout so early. Rose knew he was taking the last second shot the second he touched the ball. It would have been nice if he would've drove and gone for the floater or layup to tie instead of just firing up a prayer. If they wanted a 3, they had Deng wide open (I can't believe I am actually suggesting this), it would have been a much more high percentage shot. Either way, they really didn't deserve to win this game. Overall, the starters played bad, and one of the only reason they even came back was from their bench play in the first 6-8 minutes of the 4th quarter.

Going back to Deng, they said he was a 70% FT shooter from the line. I wonder what his percentage is in the 4th quarter vs. the first 3. That would be a very interesting stat to see. Whenever that guy gets to the line in crunch time he always misses at least one.

I don't care what happens you don't bench Carlos Boozer for the whole fourth quarter. This isn't high school. You put your best players out there at the end. Send a message for the first 6 minutes of the fourth quarter but you put him back in the game.

This is the kind of thing that would happen for the "play hard Bulls" before they got Rose. Act like a real championship contender instead of a team teaching a rookie that he has to try.

The Bulls have been dropping gimme games to the Nets for like four or five years now. I don't understand.

They beat them last week.

Guys, the Bulls may have beaten the Nets last Friday afternoon at United Center, but Avery Johnson's guys made them earn it. The fact they lost last night at New Jersey is not breaking news by any means. Granted the Bulls haven't had great teams in the post-Jordan era, but regardless if they play it at what's now called the IZOD Center in the Meadowlands or the Prudential Center in Newark, the Nets' home court the next 2 years, the Bulls have had a devil of a time in the Garden State. They came out flat as a pancake, and it cost them.

Deng's improved 3 point shooting has really messed up his mid range game and his free throw shooting.
