I thought Dr Katz was good

Is all this Family Guy hate legit? Feels like a hipster thing.

I could see not liking it but the number of people hating is surprising

To me its kinda like SNL. I like the format. I dont care about the characters, I just like their take on things. So to me any new Family guy is good

Not something you want to mention in public.

On this you couldn't be more correct. All the cool people hate Family Guy. That said, I will entertain the notion that the characters have devolved over time, but I don't necessarily know that it's implicitly a bad thing.

I still watch Family Guy every week. It's not as funny as it has been in the past, but last night's episode was pretty good.

I wouldn't call it a hipster thing. I just think the show has gradually lost its fastball over the past 2-3 years. I still watch the new episodes, but I usually end up being disappointed. One of the directions I haven't really liked with the show is how political it has become. The Rush Limbaugh episode from earlier this season, and the Chris dating the chick with down syndrome were both terrible. I just think Seth McFarlane is trying to become too clever. Instead of telling a good dick/fart/pop culture joke, he's almost trying to outsmart the audience, and I don't really think it works well for this format.

There are some hidden gems here and there. I really liked the finale from last season where Stewie and Brian were locked in the bank vault. It was probably the best episode they have done in years, IMO. They didn't use a single cutaway (which is another thing I think they really started to overdue), and the episode was funny all by itself. The episode where they hire Consuela was also one of the funnier ones in recent memory.

According to EW.com, the premiere episode of "Bob's Burgers" drew 9.4 million viewers Sunday night on FOX, a 45% increase over "The Cleveland Show" which had aired in that 7:30p time slot when it premiered this fall. Even though the reviews for "Cleveland" haven't been that great, I've got to think "American Dad" might be the odd show out on FOX's "Animation Domination" pretty soon. "Cleveland" is not going away.

Family Guy.

At your age, you should be watching Spongebob. Leave Family Guy for the adults.

That pile of shit is still on? I thought it was completely moved to Cartoon Network where it has recently fucked up the universe by bumping King of the Hill to an earlier time slot.

No way. Didn't you see it the other night? Chris lit his crotch on fire by masterbating too much because he hooked on Red Bull.

I also loved Dr. Katz. The problem was there was maybe 7 minutes of original material per 1/2 hour episode and the rest was poorly animated transitions and comedian acts.

Comedy Central had a great Sunday night animation thing before Fox with South Park, The Tick, The Critic, and Dr. Katz.
