Spmack try adding an ounce or 2 of fruit juice, an herb, a citrus fruit, berries, or slices of cucumber to your water. It might help.

You WW people...did the weight come back on after you finished the program?

I love me some water. I kill 3 pint glasses of it every morning before eating and then probably 8 more throughout the day.

Geez, Dustin Byfuglien wins one Stanley Cup and now all those people think they can play the sport.

First off, be careful what herb you are adding....You might be drug tested or it better be a big glass of water if it is herb lawrence.

i'm a water connoisseur. get a brita pitcher and start there. you need to drink more water, especially if you're going to run.

Yes and no. When I stopped paying attention to what I was really eating yes, but when following the general principles w/o point counting I was able to lose the weight again.

Sugar free jello pudding cups are also a great way to have a small snack with not many calories. If you want to get really fancy, get the 5 calorie Reddi-whip and put it on. If you want to get extreme put a strawberry or a few banana slices on the top of it.

Started at 225 after Christmas, had hockey the last 3 days in a row and hit the scale today and am down to 212. but, that was right after hockey so that's a lot of water weight so I'm sure it will go up a few pounds tomorrow. either way, very happy with my progress.

In 2003 I was 300.
In 2004 I lost 120 or so lbs, was down to about 180 by mid 2005 (ask doug, he's seen my pix)
Last winter I was up to 240.
Got on the scales this weekend and 260. That's fucked up.
I'm a big fella... over 6 feet tall and pretty wide even when I'm not fat, so I figure I'd like to be between 190 and 210 generally. That will be my goal for mid July.
So I need to lose 50lbs in 7 months. This is do-able.
Started tracking on Fitday.com. My idea is to stay between 1800-2000 calories a day for about 4 months, at which point I should be able to ramp up to 2500 with exercise. I've been on this the last two full days and it's not terribly hard. I'm eating slower. That helps big time. And eating denser foods. Again, this is only day 2 but I've got a good feeling about this.

this thread has gone strangely quiet since Darkside admitted he is basically a human rollercoaster when it comes to his weight loss/gain.

So is everyone being good?

I was a little bad on Sunday, let myself have a couple treats, but got back on the horse monday. Can't wait till I hit the scale again saturday to see how I'm doing.

It's a lesson I've learned. After the wedding I didn't keep up with my workouts at all (I prefer the seated joy of playing guitar over basketball). And I was living with a woman and she's always baking stuff. Plus... I drink substantial amounts of beer. So, like, I learned a hard way what not to do.

You are such an ass. Did you not admit to being your own rollercoaster as well?

Switched to just playing hockey, but with my back problems (6 back surgeries) I can only do so much exercising. Add that to just getting older and the weight has been creeping back on for the past decade. Had it steady around 200 a few years ago but lately its climbed up into the 220s. Was as high as 225 after I got back from my cruise a few weeks ago.

Having weight creep on over the course of a decade is hardly a roller coaster.

But who cares, the only ass here is your fat ass since I wasn't ripping on darkside when I said that, just commenting on the obvious. Wasn't passing any judgment. but, some bitches just want to cry and bitch about shit cause theyz bitcheasses.

Just because you're happy being 5'7 and 300 (ding) doesn't mean we all have to be....

I'm about 6'2, 245. Won't win any beauty or fitness contests, but I also won't be measuring out dabs of lite whip cream when I eat a sundae before I go to bed when (actually if) I finally get home tonight.
