If anything is bad for you it really isn't your fault. It's a disease.

This is all complete bullshit if dude still smokes cigarettes. Way worse than alcohol or weed.

Everybody I know that has gotten off of drugs and/or alcohol, smokes cigarettes and drinks coffee/soda all day.

That's a like a chick claiming she's a virgin b/c she only does oral and anal.

You are not clean and sober if you still smoke cigarettes, just another crackhead in denial.

Plug in how ever many beers it would take you to make bad decisions.

And yes, 5 beers a couple times a week will certainly hurt your liver and you'll probably gain weight unless you work out a lot.

And yes, Bars are places where bad things happen. Cause you have a bunch of drunks together. Thats not a problem for the smokers.
This is ultimately my issue with the "legalize it" movement. You have a good case with good reasons. Why the need to make it seem like having 5 beers in a night turns you into a monster? That's the true irony. You hate the mischaracterization of marijuana but you are saying that 5 beers = fighting, bars = bad things happening, and 5 beers two times a week = liver failure and 300 pounds.

Well, you are taking what I said out of context. Alcohol can and often does have a positive effect on your body. Ask the AMA! They write papers and do research on this stuff.

First of all, I have never once said legalize it or complianed about the mischaracerization of marijuana.

Secondly, do you really think drinking 5 or 6 beers (or insert a "normal" night of drinking) twice a week consistently wouldnt lead to some problems?

You know it would, but you are Boilermaker Ricking the argument by being obtuse and using strawmen.

This is the problem with the Drinking is healthy, pot is evil crowd. They think what they do is harmless or justifiable because it's legal and Nancy Reagan said so.

In reality having 6 beers is deemed Binge drinking by the AMA that you love to quote.

So you think binge drinking (as defined by the AMA) a couple times a week causes no problems and Im just making them out to be monsters?

Ask a cop which is worse.

Or watch "Cops"

Anyone who has been around both substances will tell you alcohol causes more problems. Its really as simple as that.

No.

I just found it funny that you listed being at a bar and fighting as a side effect of having 5 drinks. It reminds me of the prohibitionist women's groups in Boardwalk Empire.

Drive across town with enough weed in your ride and you might experience the 'side effect' of a 10 year mandatory minimum.

No, I did not. Quite the opposite in fact. I lauded it by telling you to ask a cop.

Everything else in that post was about the healthy problem free. practice of binge drinking twice a week.

Im sorry, I dont drink a lot.

6 beers and im pretty buzzed.

I think if you drink 6 or 8 beers (whatever is the normal night of drinking with buddies or whatever) twice a week, you will end up with a lot more problems than someone that smokes twice a week.

I think most people would have to agree with that if they were really honest with themselves.

Weather it's alcohol, weed, nose candy, nicotene, etc.... it's highly advisable to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Now.......nobody ever answered whether or not sex addiction is a good or bad thing. Why is that? :?

You would think Ozzie has other things going on right now. Apparently he took over WWN's account. Oh wait, WWN is always borderline illiterate with bad thoughts.

A good jumping off point would be Walt having the grammar level of a 7-year old.

Is it really a stretch to say that drinking often causes or leads to problems?

I just want to add that I got a hearty chuckle when I listened to the podcast.

Mac listed alcohol and weed together. Said the Dr's told him he needs to get off both.

How did that detail get left out of our earlier discussions, Spanky?

I think so, and this is coming from a guy who watched a close family member die of alcoholism. A large majority of people are responsible with drinking. They aren't going out and getting in fights, having liver failure, and getting dui's.
