Sorry WWN, I had a bad weekend that didn't get better until the last race at SA which was after the pool closed. I hit the $1 late P4.

Dortmund is running this in the San Felipe on Saturday.

I'm pretty much with you, Walt, except I think Ocean Knight is the real deal in the Tampa Bay Derby.

Walt, you always get me when I take my chances! Top Act was bet down to 5/2 so I wasn't the only one who thought that horse was next Cat man special.

Good luck today fellas, biggest day of the Derby season so far.

I like Lieutenant Colonel in the Gotham.
I like Divining Rod in the TB Derby.
I like Dortmund in the San Felipe.

I like Shared Belief in the Big Cap. That's the best horse going right now.

Spmack my fellow BDH......comical touting a 1st starter $25,0000 maiden claimer...that's all.Like me betting Valhol a 30-1 maiden that won the Arkansas Derby he won I got paid but the jock had some batteries in his whip so it was a very shallow pay day

I would worry about rateability with that horse. Look how angry that fucker was until he got the lead. He had his fuckin' ears pinned like he wanted to strike. As soon as he gets clear he's happier than hell. The ears go back up and he's flicking them gleefully. I don't think he's going to like being behind horses.

Here is my issue with Dortmund and maybe I'm looking for the reason to bet against him:

He hangs once he gets a lead to let the horses come back to him. He has enough talent to dominate a field. At some point, some horse will get a jump on him or have as much in that upper gear.

Yeah Baffert was saying that he's trying to teach him to stop letting horses come back to him. At this point though, who can beat him?

Yeah, he's definitely a big lazy bastard, but he seems to be learning all the time. I like him better on or near the lead in a twenty horse field than having a boy ask him to start and stop in traffic. The problem he faces in the Derby is that there will almost certainly be better speed horses in there and even if he gets the lead late in the race, I could see his mind wandering as you mention.

JORR those are the two I'm hearing the most. Far From Over or American Pharaoh.

El Kabeir looked good coming off the pace in The Gotham.

Don't laugh, but something tells me not to count out D.Wayne Lukas and Mr. Z.

I had Balo and I thought when he ran up on him the race was mine. Thought wrong he sort of did a little shimmy and it was ova!

Rebel Stakes. Let's see what American Pharaoh is all about. I'm interested in Madefromlucky.

Walt, Pletcher did the same thing last year with Danza in the Ark Derby. Jumped him from a OC75k/n1x-N in previous race and he blew that field out at 40-1.

Danza had some back class The Saratoga Special...this one MSW then OC I think it's too big of a jump in class

The thing he has going for him is that he's already won at the distance. Pharaoh is the only other horse that has and that was last year.

I just can't do a M/L of 1/2 on AP. Especially since he hasn't ran since September.
