I think Mac would despise doing a national show.

I heard him from Bristol on ESPN one Sunday afternoon when Dale Earnhardt died at Daytona and it didn't feel like he was quite in his element.

I think Sirius is a differnet animal than an ESPN. He would be able to make it more of a guy talk format where he would probably do a lot on Fishing, Gambling, Music etc. where sports would likely be a very small part of it. Hard to say though if he would get a chance nationally without a central sports theme to draw people in initially.

In all honesty, sports radio in Chicago is not the same without McNeil. It may not be as good as it was in the MJH days, but he is still a hell of a lot of fun to listen to when he's on his game.
