Wtf the Hawks do now in his opinion?

He probably wants them to remove "old white man" as owner, change the name and logo. Typical SJW approach to anything that offends their sensibilities.

He wants rocky removed from any official role but not forced to sell the team.

He replayed that Wirtz response, and it was fairly ridiculous behavior on Wirtz' part. As others have said in other threads, all he had to do was toss out some canned answer and this scandal from 2010 stays on the back burner. I don't think he should be forced to step down, but if you want to call his behavior idiotic, I think you have good cause.

It was an insane response. Why even have a town hall with reporters if he’s unwilling to answer a pretty obvious question?

He sounds good. He also was very close to breaking bad on the station/management and didn’t seem to want to hang up.

LoHo going heavy on Flores stuff if you’re into that kind of thing.

David Culley developed Davis Mills apparently. So Texans are set up for the future.

He’s basically regurgitating the content of the lawsuit without addressing any of the subsequent responses to each of the allegations.

Has the NFL even provided responses yet?

NFL released some brief statement saying they like diversity and Brian Flores is a liar.

Leery trying hard to pretend he doesn’t plan to watch the Olympics, but just couldn’t help but getting sucked in by the male figure skaters.

Tom Thayer is inexplicably wearing a hoodie on top of a hat with headphones placed over the two…all while sitting indoors.

Bernstein wants Patrick Williams to play with a ‘sustained emotional arousal,’ which may be the gayest way to criticize somebody’s effort.

Leery full-on self-aggrandizing re: Lovie.

“It was my job to speak truth to power. I didn’t want to throw those hand grenades during his press conferences but I had no choice.”

I remember the ‘Laurence, Laurence, Laurence’ sound drop but was LoHo playing Acosta to Lovie’s Trump? Or was he just asking dumb questions?

I'm going to start lobbying for summary execution via Street Judge for any person who says any form of "speak truth to power" unironically.

My God that's douche-chilling.

Laurence asked Lovie what qualified his son to be an NFL coach.

It was tough question that no one else was willing to ask.

That’s fair.

I could spin this into Leery questioning the creation of opportunities for young black coaches but I’m not invested enough in the bit to run with it.

I'll give him credit for that, but he carries on as if he grilled him like that at every press conference.

Lovie was a guy that didn't like being questioned. And the same applied behind the camera as well.

Show me a successful NFL Head Coach that likes getting questioned? All of these guys are arrogant as hell. Lovie didn't like to offer much to the media....similar to Belichik. Totally fine by me....the media usually asks really stupid questions.

All successful people like being questioned. If they are really smart, they hire people that demand answers from them.

That's why I added the statement about behind the camera as well.

Nobody gives a shit about what most of the media does except when they aren't afraid to ask a tough question.

THis has not been my experience at all. Some do, but that has more to do with being someone who enjoys a good debate. Many a successful person has no use for debating people they feel aren't worthy of their time.

I would bet a any amount of time Bill Belichik has no use for being challenged by you, me, Dan Bernstein, Laurence Holmes, or anyone that he doesn't feel is anywhere near his level.

I am consistently amused by the fact that Tom Thayer seems to be shouting into his microphone at all times while on the air.

He seemed to forget he was on the radio during tranny. Either that or he just wants nothing to do with speaking to Bernstein.

It was all Danny B talking about Wilbur Marshall and the 85 bears with occasional input from Mully and dead air from the guy who was actually on the 85 bears.

Bernstein going in hard as an MLBPA advocate this morning.

Apparently the existence of Twitter will make this lockout unlike anything else because the owners are at risk of losing the dreaded messaging war.

How a guy can build his entire life off covering sports and still not understand billionaires don’t give a shit what people think of them amazes me. I assume it’s a bit on some level but he reads a banal tweet from Max Scherzer and then very dramatically says that the tweet is really going to strengthen the players’ resolve.

yes and no.
This will come down to who will hold out longer. That answer is the owners....BUT the messaging does matter. If the public is pissed at the owners it will affect attendance. It will affect merch sales. It's important the MLBPA is clear what they're asking and as of now....they're sharing that with the fan base more effectively than the owners.

If you feel the players get a bad deal when it’s all over, will you be less likely to watch baseball?

I'll say it a little differently.
If the lockout fucks up the season, it will impact mine and many others desire to attend baseball.

See the Chicago White Sox post 1994.
