He replayed that Wirtz response, and it was fairly ridiculous behavior on Wirtz' part. As others have said in other threads, all he had to do was toss out some canned answer and this scandal from 2010 stays on the back burner. I don't think he should be forced to step down, but if you want to call his behavior idiotic, I think you have good cause.

This will come down to who will hold out longer. That answer is the owners....BUT the messaging does matter. If the public is pissed at the owners it will affect attendance. It will affect merch sales. It's important the MLBPA is clear what they're asking and as of now....they're sharing that with the fan base more effectively than the owners.
