My friends from work and I usually go to Buffalo Wild Wings after work if a Cubs game is on. Well there is a waitress there that starts out great all the time bringing us beer and food quickly. After about 2 beers she fucking forgets about us to the point where we have to call a manager over to get her back. I dont tip her shit, and no I try to sit at the bar itself to avoid her slow A D D ass.

I'd just assume make it 20% across the board, but unfortunately, I get below average service more often than I got above average service. I know it's a shitty job, but there's lots of shitty jobs that pay a lot less.

Does your tip percentage get adjusted if your bill includes an expensive bottle of wine? Obviously this can greatly elevate the total bill without much additional effort on the servers part.

Yes, by industry standard the tip on a bottle of wine or champagne is only 10%.

I've always been a really good tipper because I think a lot of servers don't like serving younger people because they think they'll get screwed. I think the worst tip I've ever given (which was two nights ago) was 15%, but that was because the guy wouldn't quit talking to us.

I've got a buddy who does "bartending" (just pretty much pouring beers) on one of the rooftops for Wrigley. He said that they had a group of about 100 lawyers about three or four weeks back. The drinks are free when you rent out the rooftop. He made $14 in tips.

That was my Las Vegas strategy. The first cocktail waitress to make her way over to me would get a $20 bill. I don't think I ever didn't have a drink in front of me after that first one was given, regardless of how quickly I'd drink them or how busy it got.
