oh, and dont forget the great ronny cedeno outfield experiment. from what i have read, he is going to get a serious look in the outfield this spring.

i vote "no" for giving up anything for either of them or any other old-timer, but i vote "why not?" for extending them a warm invitation to take a few hacks in spring training. its not like the cubs are deep at outfield or anything.

ROndell White? Lofton? Maybe they can resign Henry Rodriguez and Tuffy Rhodes so they can have the entire outfield they had in 1997.

Frank hates the cubs, but he can name all their players from the past...lol.

The cubs need pitching, Nathan would be a good pick for them, but I dont think they will get him, from what I read they feel pretty good about who they have in the pen.

Sorry, have to do it: Neither Oh Henry nor Tuffy Rhodes were on the '97 team. But, if you want to finish your thought, I would go with the likes of Doug Glanville, Lance Johnson, and the all-time great, Brooks Kieschnick. Those were the OF studs on the '97 team. And some guy named Sosa....

I'm sure Frank appreciates the correction. His nascent Cub fandom needs nurturing to bloom.
