McFail was not given a budget that he could contend with. Thats why once Hendry did so much better immediately after he was hired and the purse strings were loosened. But he spent unwisely and didn't draft well enough. Dallas Green was a great Baseball man, but the organization got rid of him too soon. As far as my Father goes, he never cared much for baseball and never had a lot of patience either. I'm really not too sure about my Great-Grandfather. Grampa liked Baseball and he was patient. But he liked golf a lot more. And if given the chance to win a golf tournament (he won several-he was a scratch golfer) or see the Cubs win a World Series, I know he would have chosen to win the tournament. As far as the attendance goes, I think it's important for a couple reasons. If the Cubs attendance were to dwindle too much, too quickly, they might feel more of a sense of urgency to improve the club in the short term. Doing so might have adverse ramifications for the long term interests of the club. On the other side of town, it's just amazing that the fan base does not get behind a team in contention for their division title. It has to be discouraging to a management team that has tried so hard to give the team a chance this season. With so many free agents possibly leaving (Peavy, Youkilis, A.J. and Liriano for example) and the team possibly going more sincerely into a rebuilding mode, fans should have gotten behind this group while they had the chance. Leaner times may well be ahead.

I really could not care less about the shirt. It was predicting not only who would win, but that Cutler would throw a couple picks and suck overall... that Benson would make meaningful plays and cotribute. that the Pack and the under was the way to go (as I did) not the over as so may thought ....It was all the predictions coming through that I cared about. I told the story of the game before it was played.

I am very happy with a 192 average and the 179 average rose cosiderably after last Sundays 624 series. None of that is a source of embarassment to me. Forward your USBC information and I'll see about setting something up.

My 2010-11 season was cut short due to rotator cuff tendonitis and bursitis. If you want medical records, I could dig those up, as well. I really struggled for the last six weeks, before I quit for the year. The pain was so intense, I couldn't lift my son out of his crib.

I read this thread last night and it was concerning Sox attendance.

I click on it now and Steve still can't fucking figure out how he didn't win a t-shirt? That chicken and the egg thing must give him a massive migraine.

Come on, Chus. Even today with the lanes blocked they way they often are, 215 is more than "just a guy." Carrying those averages that you have, you're a serious dude. Even if you're left-handed. I agree there are tons of guys that can average 190 or so these days, but when you start getting over 210, I don't care how easy the conditions are, you're bowling your ass off.

I usually fall in the top 10% or top 15% every year in our league. We have a couple of guys who average 230, so that's why I say I'm just a guy. There are plenty of guys on Mondays and Fridays that can average 215, and there are plenty of guys who can light me up. It is a HUGE step up from 190 to 210. It's an even bigger step up from 210 to 230.

I am right-handed, so I usually have seven or eight other bowlers tearing up my line. My favorite opponents are a team with four lefties. Add the one on our team, and there are 5 out of 10. I can usually hold my line most of the night. A good friend of mine is usually at 220, but I tell him it doesn't count because he is lefty.

Every bowling tale that I have ever told is 100% accurate. I have been to all four CSFMB bowling events, so I have displayed evidence to point to this fact.

There are that many guys scoring that high now? Wow! I can remember when something in the 190s led most Friday night scratch leagues. If a guy carried 200+ he was really doing something. A guy who averaged 180 was pretty good.

That's one thing I don't like about today's bowling. It's tougher to tell who is good. I mean I'm really just a guy. I was never better than the fourth man on any team I bowled on. I haven't bowled in a league in about fifteen years, but a few years back my girlfriend and some of her friends had a bowling night. I swear I hadn't picked up a ball in about ten years. Still, I had one in the trunk of my car. There was a lot of chuckling when I brought it out. I shot over 200 both games. I forget where it was. Maybe Habetler. The next best guy there was struggling with 150. They acted like I was some strange species because I had a ball and knew what the fuck I was doing. They were asking me questions like I was Johnny Fucking Petraglia.
