With Humber and Floyd struggling, the Sox need Quintana to continue to give them the kinds of starts he has turned in so far. When Danks returns to the rotation, I expect Quintana to retain his position in the rotation, with Humber going to AAA. It's better he goes to AAA than working out of the bullpen, because the club needs him to get his stuff together as a starter in case Peavy or anyone else goes down. They need him to be ready to go back in the rotation in such an event. Quintana may well turn out to be a key factor in 2012...

Humber isn't going to Charlotte. It will likely be Zach Stewart heading out when the decision is made to keep Quintana in the rotation, while Humber will move to the bullpen.

That would be a mistake in my opinion. If they use Humber out of the bullpen, in the event of an injury, he will not be able to go back into the rotation and give Ventura the 5-6 innings you would expect from a starter right away. But if they send him down he can continue in a rotation and hopefully get straightened out. Then if there were an injury, he could be brought up and put back into the rotation immediately. You don't want to strain the bullpen with a guy who needs time to get stretched back out in order to get through 5-6 innings.

I assume Danks will have at least one more minor league start so Humber probably has 2 chances to show his stuff. Dodger Stadium is a big park and he has been good on the road so I am expecting him to have good results Saturday. He had a stretch on Sunday where he struck out 5 straight and retired something like 10 in a row so there is something to work with.

I think John Danks will get 1 more rehab start for Triple "A" Charlotte before he returns to the White Sox big club, likely during the Cubs' series at U.S. Cellular Field. As for Jose Quintana, he might end up going back to the minors to make room for John on the 25-man roster, which I think is a mistake considering there are 2 other Sox pitchers that are as bad at baseball as Gavin Floyd & Phil Humber in the starting rotation.

You might have heard of them. Zach Stewart, who pitches more like Zach Zaidman, and Will Ohman, who can't seem to get anyone out when RV gives the ball to him lately. I think one or both of these bum relievers should be sent packing when Johnny returns.

Come on. He could stretch back out in a week. This isn't some prized young arm that needs to be treated like a Kobe beef like the one on Sale.

Humber is perfect example of how watered down this league currently is. Worst perfect game pitcher ever. Herm is the key to the season. If Sale and Peavy go down then its done unless Floyd grows a pair.

But if they can stay healthy and Quintana stays in the rotation along with a healthy Danks, things could work out. But with Peavy's history of DL visits over the past 5 years, Sale going well over any innings total he has experienced before and Quintana still not a known quantity, things are anything but certain. But it won't be boring anyway.

I have also sent this info to others. I won't post it for everyone, because your name and where you bowl are on it. Unless Janet, Amy, and Sally are men, you are bragging about beating women. Jose Quintana starts the finale of the Dodgers' Interleague series Sunday afternoon vs. Chris Capuano in Los Angeles. All indications seem to point that Jose will get another start beyond this one Sunday. John Danks still isn't ready to return from his shoulder injury, according to the Sun-Times.

Danks' shoulder felt soreness playing catch before last night's finale of the Cardinals' series in St. Louis, and it appears unlikely that he'll be able to throw a side session prior to tonight's game at Dodger Stadium. It also doesn't look like he'll be back for the Cubs' series when the White Sox return home Monday.

You did lie though, or at least you misrepresented yourself because you didn't do it in a sanctioned league. Calling Chus ignorant would be unfair, unless of course you were simply stating he was ignorant to you misrepresenting yourself as scoring that in an official capacity. For all we know, your score came from a bumper bowling league.

I went golfing on Saturday and for 18 holes I shot a 56.*

*-The rules of the game I was playing was that putts do not count as shots.

As I explained, the difference between a sanctioned league and unsanctioned league, is it doesn't pay fees to the USBC and therefore does not get any awards for accomplishments made in the league. Thats it, no difference in oil patterns or scoring (done by computers)or anthing else. Since the claim was to have garnered the highest average in the league I had bowled in, again...there is no misrepresentation. Chus TRIES to discredit the accomplishment by naming the only 3 women in our league by name amongst 40 bowlers . He talks about looking at my Bowling results every week this past season.....more than a bit stalkerish. Like probably a lot of people here, I looked at Bowling as a sport (hobby, whatever) as something you only do when you get older. Basketball, Baseball (and softball) Football and golf were things I chose to involve myself in. But 6 years ago, I got talked into joining a Bowling league by 3 guys I played Softball with, who were in that league. So as I have improved a bit and achieved a few things (winning the league 2 years in a row, having a 700 series-yes-this WAS in a sanctioned league) I posted about these things because it was exciting to have a week where I had averaged 235 and felt good aout having done that. But I never said I was a great bowler, only that I had some accomplishments from time to time that I chose to share. Oh, and Chus also cannot dispute the fact that I averaged 194 IN A SANCTIONED LEAGUE in 2009. He just likes to post the negative stuff. Just like when he chose to post below average games in a week where there was a 230's 240's game also bowled, but he chose to leave that game out of his post There was never any misrepresentation made by me, I leave that kinda crap to others.

No matter what happens with Danks' start, Quintana will remain in the rotation -and remain there as long as he continues to perform as he has anyway. Humber or Floyd will likely be removed from the rotation when Danks is able to rejoin the rotation.

You tried to get on the muscle with Frank, and that backfired. Now, bowling is just something that you do as recreation. My, how your tune has changed.

Previously, I did give you credit for your 194, as I listed all of your averages, including many in the 170's. I have never lied or misled anybody about your scores. When you deserved credit, it was given to you. When it was time to call you out on bullshit, I did. Even at the bowling event, some people were joking that anybody that shot higher than 135, which you shot the previous week, had crossed the "Elmhurst Steve threshold". I corrected them, and said that was only one game, and that you averaged near 180. I have been more than fair with you, Steve.

Again, if 194 is the top average, then you are beating inferior competition. This was my original point two years ago. You disputed it, despite me having the evidence to back up my claim. This whole thing could have been avoided, had you not claimed that I was ignorant, and lying.

Again, I challenge you to find a post where I claimed to be an "awesome bowler". I only claimed to have had an awesome (for me at least) week, when I had a 700 series and happily reported having won our league championships in 2010 and 2011 and having won the award for highest average in 2011 in the league I bowled in at Poplar Creek Bowl. Everything I claimed was factual and I don't feel like a 194 average isn't high enough to feel good about. I don't see anyone but you trying to belittle a 194 average. I don't know how anything with Frank backfired, he simply declined m y challenge and somehow you thought it appropriate to insert yourself into something you had no involvement in. As far as when I called from Mac's home, it was Mac that brought up that I was working at his home, not me. I never mention homes that I have worked in here or anywhere else. It's nobody's business.

5 innings....gave up 4 runs on 9 hits. Not exactly a quality start....got the win though. Meanwhile Quintana goes 8 scoreless innings in his last start and can't get a win and Peavy goes the distance while giving up just 2 runs and gets a loss...crazy stuff.
