It's the same lineup they would have unless Rose was in there. They will probably still win 45ish games, and end up with a 4th-5th seed. Besides the Heat, nobody in the East is poised to make any kind of serious run. Here's how I see the East ranked:

There's no one who was in the lottery last season besides the Nets that is any threat to make the playoffs. Orlando is the obvious choice to tumble to the bottom of the conference, and everyone else should stay in mediocrity.

So far, my thinking is that the Knicks will finish above the Nets. The Sixers may finish ahead of the Bulls too. But I'm not sure the Nets will.

Honestly, 4-8th will probably be a crapshoot. This is just how I feel going into this season. People have been high on the Knicks for a year and a half now, and they have done nothing. I don't see them getting any better then they currently are. They might get a 6th seed, but I don't see them ever breaking the top 4. I probably picked the Nets to round out the Top 4 because they are a team everyone is excited about seeing. This might be the year the Hawks fall into the lottery, and maybe a team like Milwaukee or Detroit sneak in, but I doubt it.

I think their youth, depth, and defense led to the. Overachieving in a shortened season. I don't think they are a 55 win team. I wouldn't say it's out of the question, but I'd be very surprised.
