They've beaten the worst team in the league twice in about 10 days. What are they supposed to do? Go out there and intentionally miss shots? Guys are playing for contracts. They're not going to go out there and throw a game.

The question is did the Bulls tank to draft Jordan vs did the Bulls tank to get a higher position. You asserted the former and then argued the latter. Thanks for confirming that you are both confused and wrong.

And you're ignorant and trying to cover it up by debating semantics. They tanked in order to draft Ewing not Olajuwon or Bowie.

That draft was so deep that it didn't matter who was there as long as you got in the top 5. The Bulls tanked in order to get the top pick.

Bulls also wanted Jordan over Bowie. You and others have been wrong about that for years they wouldn't have taken him over Akeem. They knew Portland wasn't going to take Jordan because they had just drafted Drexler.

I know i responded twice to the same post but who gives a shit.

As far as inconsistent rotations go what are you talking about? The main reason that the Bulls were 3-20 was because guys (Mirotic, Dunn, Lavine, Nwaba) were injured and Portis was suspended. It had nothing to do with coaching and everything to do with talent. Again your position will always be that of anti management so why bother.

If anything this season has served as validation of a few things

1. The decision to whack Thibs was the right one. Guys like Barkley, Jet Smith, Pierce, and Jalen Rose have all questioned the coaching of Thibs.

2. Hoiberg can coach. Maybe not championship level but he is far from the worse coach in the league. Guys are developing under him and the Bulls rebounded after a disastrous start.

3. GarPax got the better of the Butler trade. Very few if any on here believed it at the time of the trade. Obvious now.

4. They fucked this tank job up.

Your diatribes about the alleged ineptitude of management are also off base.

This is the same team that I.D.d guys like Deng, Noah, Rose , Butler, and now Markannen.

Interesting how you gloss over all of this when providing critiques. I don't remember you touting the ability of Markannen either.

This same team that you bash for being inept plucked arguably the best player from last years draft. If not then no lower than 3rd.

They also drafted Portis with the 22nd pick. Do you care to go over a list of the guys drafted ahead of him? Something tells me you don't.

When you talk about "who leads" then that sort of thing can't be discounted. They have repeatedly demonstrated that they can draft. I'm not a Gar fan either.

Noah Vonleh also looks like a solid piece also.

ltg, I'd be happy to relitigate all of GarPax's failures prior to this season, but it seems rather pointless since you actually agreed with me that they shouldn't be in charge of any tanking effort this season. I don't see how you now ranting about their failure to lose rather than their failure to win for once is supposed to be some dramatic vindication of the pro-tank argument, rather than the anti-GarPax one.

You made the point regarding terrible decisions. Which decision specifically got us to this point?

The decision to reverse field on tanking is the dumbest move that they have made since Tyrus Thomas. I will bash them on that but not a lot of stuff that you repeatedly criticize them for.

Yes. Anti-Paxxers also usually have Rubella.

"Happy now anti-tankers?" is accusatory, like WE caused the wins. I understand that fandom comes in many forms. My form is root for my team to win EVERY FUCKEN GAME, period. While the losses are a bummer I'm getting a kick out of watching the guys develop as a unit.

No I throw the term around when people typically refer to relevant points as "dumb" while being unaware of that of which they speak. When you state that tanking doesn't work you're being ignorant of Bulls history. It is that simple. When you state that it doesn't work you are being ignorant of NBA history. If tanking was so ineffective then why are multiple GMs employing it currently? Why have they changed the rules multiple times in an effort to stop it?

As far as being ignorant goes you displayed ignorance when you stated that teams don't "tank" mid season. Do you remember that one? You stated that tanking begins at the start of the season. This was the rationale you originally used in order to state that the Bulls didn't tank in order to draft Jordan. You were ignorant about that also.

As usual this entire post is wrong. And dumb.

Also, for someone who gets overly sensitive when called a bitch, you sure do talk a lot of shit.

This Bamba kid from Texas would be an interesting pick; I'm guessing he's projected to go before the Bulls' estimated pick?

I'd never refer to someone as a bitch. I don't call women or men that word. Every man has his rules. Ironically two guys that I know fought over that very thing several weeks ago. They are also friends. Or were anyway.

Can you explain how the Bulls didn't tank in order to draft Jordan? If you can then I'd be wrong about your relative ignorance. You have repeatedly made the argument that tanking doesn't work yet I have provided irrefutable evidence as to how tanking changed the trajectory of the Bulls franchise. You keep using terms like "wrong" and "dumb" yet it is obvious that you can't refute the claims.

No you didn't. Your problem is you think being a terrible team and tanking are the same thing. The Nets suck this year. They aren't tanking though. Tanking is purposely not putting your best lineup out there when healthy. The Bulls never did that the year before they drafted Jordan. Trading a veteran isnt the same thing as tanking. Not sure how many more time I will have to explain this to you.

But yes, you can definitely find individual cases of tanking that have worked in NBA history. Your problem is that for every successful case you find I can find 10 unsuccessful ones and I can also find a lot more championship teams that did not come from tanking.

Dude this is what I mean by Ignorant. You obviously don't know the backstory. Reggie Theus was undisputedly their best player. They benched him in Dec. of that season. They benched him in favor of two rookies. They had a chance to make the playoffs even after benching him. They were on winning streak with him coming off the bench and then they decided to trade him 15 minutes before the deadline. They traded him for a bum that you have never heard of and a second rounder. They went 6-28 after that. Those are facts.

They finished 1 game out of the coin flip which would have allowed them an opportunity to pick first. You don't know what you are talking about. The Bulls tanked.

That draft was loaded and the guy that everyone had as the consensus No.1 ( Pat Ewing) wasn't even in it. He was the guy, Not Akeem,Not Jordan, that was considered best player regardless of class. He'd have gone 1 every year from his freshman year til the year his eligibility was up. He never would go hardship. Even without that you had Jordan Akeem Barkley and Bowie who were part of the draft.

You really aren't making sense but it is understandable because you are unaware of Bulls history.

Do you want to compare it to the history of those that haven't tanked? Do you want me to provide a list of all of the "ethical" teams that haven't tanked only to be shitty as hell year after year?

You also realize that there is no incentive for them to tank since they traded their pick away to Cleveland?

Dumb thought.
