The Bulls' lack of defensive intensity clearly showed down the stretch of last night's Game 4 loss to the Hawks. There were several reasons why this is now a Best 2 out of 3, folks. The Bulls' offense in the final 5 minutes completely broke down, the "Bench Mob" was nowhere to be found, the much-maligned Keith Bogans, C.J. Watson, Ashton Kutcher-looking Kyle Korver and Ron Brewer combined for only 5 points between them, and Luol Deng was held to only 4 in the final 24 minutes. Also, the Bulls committed a Chris Webber...They got called for a late technical foul for a timeout they didn't have!

Worst of all to me, WHERE WAS THE DAMN ENERGY?

Very difficult to post from jail.

I would answer SHARK's post above but it's pointless. Suffice to say, SHARK didn't exactly nail down why the game was lost last night.

You'd probably have only three players on the team: Melo, Rose and Boozer.

How do you think Thibs is coaching during these playoffs?

watching the heat and celtics tonight, it sort of gives you the feeling that the bulls dont have a chance against either team. rose is our only hope, he is going to have to be MJ to pull this title out...

He needs to have a sit-down with Carlos, rub his shoulders and make him feel special about a new role, and get some Taj-style energy in there to start off the game.

agree he has to pull boozer quick if he starts slow, and put taj in.but thibs relying on korver is what hurts.. if korver does not start hot and knock down some 3's..yank him for the game..he is the worst defender on the team.

Michael Jordan would not win a title with this group.

Can someone get Joakim's grandpa to the game tonight so we can get some intensity and fire going early?

The better team wins again.

So much for Atlanta.

Nobody talked about it on TNT, but I thought the turning point was that the 4th Quarter was Rose and Deng with all the good defensive players. Gibson sometimes plays in the 4th, but Boozer didn't see the floor. Asik plays sparingly, but he was out there for the whole quarter. Brewer also played the whole quarter. Obviously it would be nice to have Korver, Boozer and Noah out there, but they've also played pretty lousy defensively too.

What percentage of his threes does Bogans have to hit to be a better option than Kyle Korver, when you also factor in defense? I know he's getting more open looks because the Hawks aren't smothering him like they are Korver, but it's still nice to see him hot right now. Let Korver sit.

I do like Butler. If they finish off Atlanta and they play the Heat then maybe he'll get some playing time against Wade or LeBrick.

I love that 4th quarter lineup the Bulls had on the floor last night. Atlanta couldn't get anything going, and the Bulls scored when they needed to. They weren't an offensive juggernaut, but Rose came through when he needed to, Taj provided great energy on both ends of the floor, and Asik & Brewer were stifiling on defense. The differences in effort between Boozer and Taj right now is huge. I still think Boozer should start, but if he has nothing on a particular night, Thibs has to shorten the leash even further.

When Taj is knocking down that 15 foot shot am I the only one that believes he is better than Boozer? Somebody needs to get the word to Thibs that playing Korver on Crawford is a better idea than playing Korver on Teague just because of speed.

+1

I don't care if Loozer starts another game in the playoffs. Taj has the energy and skills to make a difference in a game. Boozer just looks foolish with his post-dunk histrionics. He is ineffective on D and should be giving Taj a breather.

Korver tries to play D, but on a smaller faster player, he has no chance. I don't have a problem with starting Bogans either.

Korver can't really keep up with the Hawks athleticism....I think Thibs going with Brewer Gibson and Asik down the stretch was the key to this game. Nice to see a coach in town that makes adjustments that make sense and actually pan out.

Anybody want to start a betting line to see if Atlanta will get to 70 in the game??

Tirico and Brown are getting desperate to find something to make this game more interesting.

If Boozer can continue to play pick n roll like that, derrick becomes completely unstoppable.

Most complete game they played all playoffs. If they play this way for the rest of the playoffs they won't lose many games.
