I think this was mentioned on one of the shows yesterday. Do you think Boozer is better when he gets the ball more?

The NBA is all predicated on "who's team is it" and Derrick falls into that trap of thinking he has to be the man every game. So he doesn't pass much in the 4th quarter. While it is no question a game about superstars, the best way a team wins is with 5 or 6 guys in double figures.

JL3 is valuable because he looks to score and the Bulls can go cold since many of the guys can't make their own shots. If Derrick comes back and JL3 can give you 5 to 10 pts in a limited role then the Bulls are doing well.

A few things to note:

- JL3 will barely see the floor in the playoffs.

- Early in the season when Derrick was shooting less and deferring more, the Bulls looked very out-of-sync, especially when Rip was on the floor.

- The NBA isn't about whose team it is. The NBA is about matchups. Derrick doesn't FEEL like he has to be the man, Derrick often DOES have to be the man. That's the difference.

- The best way a team wins is not with 5 or 6 guys in double figures, because that doesn't happen as often as you think. It comes down to defense and rebounding, not how many guys can put shots up.

He may not even be on the playoff roster.

I thought he passed too much in the 4th quarter? Or is that just against LeBron? All these senseless criticisms of his game are kinda confusing to follow.

I don't get it either. There seems to be a real air of, "Is Derrick as good as we think?" going on. It's nonsense. The fact is, without Derrick Rose, you might be the 10th best team in the East. Maybe.

No way. They are 10-4 without him. Probably the most depth in the league. One of the five best coaches in the league. Without Rose they are the Pacers. Maybe slightly worse. They are definitely still better than the Bucks.

Derrick Rose is the single greatest thing to happen to Chicago sports. Ever. He's a Jordan-type talent without being a douche. Until he appeared I didn't even think such a thing existed.

Let me enjoy his last season in peace. I'll return the favor for Brandon Jennings in 2015.

That's true and that's annoying as hell, but I think Paul Pierce and Kobe are even worse offenders of the "what did I do?" gestures.

But Tim Duncan looks like a half-morphed werewolf, so there's that too.

Add Wade to that list too.

I'm sorry you guys missed Rose complaining about not getting superstar calls.

I saw that, but I can admit that I'm biased when it comes to him. Plus he isn't as outwardly expressive during games. And he takes a physical beating too.

I've never denied being biased when it comes to Duncan. He's been my favorite player in the nba in the last 15 years.

Boozer is not "better" without Rose. The guy can play when he has favorable match-ups. I doubted his ability at the beginning of the season, but I should have listened to Kid Cairo. Boozer has been hovering between average to above-average this year.

No one missed anything. Duncan does this in every. single. game. Duncan always barks at refs, pouts on the bench, or makes these stupid facial gestures that you see out of a 5 year old girl. (I just saw my niece yesterday, this is a very true statement.)

In quite sure you have not seen more of his games than I have and everything you just said is a complete exaggeration, bordering on bullshit. He rarely pouts on the bench, complains about as much as your average all star, and his facial espressions look goofy regardless of his emotion at the time.

Boozer has definitely been an above average player this season. He's a good player with a bad contract.

I told you.

Unfortunately I think it has become fashionable to rip Carlos Boozer now, even though by the numbers and if you watch the games, he's having a good season and is contributing well.

Im thinking its much more likely you're seeing what you want to see. Kinda funny that the guy everyone says is the consummate teammate is so negative and douchey though. That makes sense.

I think I can just quote that as a follow-up to any more of your posts on the topic. YOU see what you want to see, apparently.

Yeah, clearly I have no problem admitting bias. I'm sorry you lack self awareness. Duncan is known as a complainer. He's definitely not known as a douche, and he doesn't sulk on the bench all game every game. Like I said, you're seeing what you wanna see if you think so.

An individual with no bias can see things more clearly.

Thats true. I believe from your statements that you either don't like Duncan or simply don't watch Spurs games, besides maybe the 2 Bulls games a year.

just personal opinion, never really thought Duncan to be a complainer/douche. there are far far far worse players
besides, every player complains about calls to some degree
seriously watch any game and you can hear "and 1" being yelled on pretty much 98% of the plays

Some guys complain to the refs about lowblows, other guys stomp on faces to deal with lowblows.

For whoever said Rose isn't like the other superstars, I would say that he has started to complain and lay into the refs big time. Him being fined for talking about the officiating had never happened until recently.

I don't think he's like the other superstars in that he's probably a good team guy. However, he's got a lot of attitude after he hits the gamewinning shot. Also in that Knicks game he was overly aggressive. It's as if he was a Shark going after blood in the water. I get that he wants to prove that he's a champion, but it seemed like he was going a little too far. My take is that's why he got injured on that drive to the hoop.
