Crawford's $6 million cap hit is too damn high. Blackhawks have shown a penchant for identifying/develping adequate goaltending.

Blame Toews and Kane for consuming a combined 29% of the cap next year.

Darling is our nominee for the Masterton Trophy, presumably for overcoming alcoholism and bus leagues no one's ever heard of. Every team nominates a player, though. The Coyotes once nominated Shane Doan because a dog bit his daughter.

Yes. He drank himself out of school, got cut by the Coyotes (they held his draft rights), and had to start all the way at the bottom (Southern Pro Hockey League) and climb all the way back up to the NHL. It really is quite remarkable.
