montreal is a great hockey town, but also, full of french 'capriccio', especially talking about others' private lives. glad that chelios got out of montreal 'in time'.
This (and taxes) is why lots of Canadian players throw shitfits about actually playing in Canada and would rather fuck off to Raleigh and Nashville where no one recognizes them. No one can tell Jordan Staal from the junior vice president of "InfinitEdge Telesystems" or something and that's the way they like it. The problem is, you can't freeload off Toronto and Montreal's toxically fanatical culture indefinitely, where they suck while everyone else thrives in obscurity. Bunch of passengers.
yes, i can see that. too bad the wscr mid-day show didn't talk about this event and special hometown HOFer, maybe daniel from deerfield would have made the same point?
local sport talk station and local HOFer. checked the score's podcasts: am show dedicated time to event and chelios, parkins and spiegel gave it some time; spiegel more interested in talking about his singing with chelios' malibu mob. parkins got in a great line about jordan making his bereavement excuse call from the golf course.
the mid-day crew wanted to talk about ayo. unfortunately, chelios played a sport that daniel from deerfield believes is anti-lgqtbdgsheo and is a waterhole for evil people - due to a lack of poc players.
i do believe that if chris chelios was born saul weinstein, we would have got a full hour on the event and player. white south sider who befriended jordan and rodman. fake friendships wouldn't have compelled jordan to make a call and rodman to show up in person.
