I assume they have some calculus that with the Acura you a male would tend to drive faster or more aggressively than the truck. Failing them actually having real evidence on safety etc.
that must be it... even though the truck was WAY more fun to drive recklessly. the acura is all time 4 wheel drive with traction control. no matter what you try to do it will correct it. it has 3 electronic clutches that can separate power to any wheel, and a yaw sensor thats tied to the ABS system. when i bought it and had that last snowfall, i tried to punch it and fish tail... it started to but then the anti lock brakes went insane, applying pressure to a single wheel at a time at crazy fast patterns... like corner to corner than front to back... it felt really weird, but it stopped the skid immediately. i was really surprised how well it worked. in my truck, once the back end breaks loose in the snow that's it- you just hang on and it just flings around with no stopping it.
also, it's fly by wire throttle... so you cant spin the tires taking off... you smash the pedal to the ground and it only applies what it wants... its clearly based off an algorithm because sometimes i can trick it and it gets close to breaking the tires loose, but it never does. again, my truck, stomp on it and i could roast them.
so yea, acura is faster and would destroy the truck in a race, but only because it does all the work for you... making it actually boring to drive. i think they tried this same type of 4 wheel 3 clutch system in F1 and the drivers scrapped the idea because it made the cars too easy to drive.
