Who sits on this Veteran's Committee? Mac doesn't even like the board. I've never seen and F-list celebrity act like a litter girl until Mac joined the board and bled a few times. How do guys that actually know a thing or 2 about sports (FF/WR/Buckets/IB) not make it because of Mac?

When I was asked to induct Kid into the CSFMB Hall of Fame, my first instinct was to decline. Not because I questioned the worthiness of him, but because I questioned whether I would be able to find the right words to convey the depth of my feelings and appreciation for one of the truly great posters of all time.

From my very first moment on this site, The Original Kid Cairo was one of the few people whose thoughts I went out of my way to read. I didn’t get all the insider references but his posts had such jocularity and irreverence that I found myself enjoying them all the same.

It was in the wrestling section that Cairo began to take notice of me. He was one of the first people to respond to my posts, and seeing that made me feel as if I weren’t a complete idiot. He took the time to interact with someone new and made an impact. He still does this today with new people who venture into our little corner of the web.

He has taken me under his wing, both figuratively and literally. He has reached out to me privately and let me vent personal problems to him without judgment but with encouragement. His creativity is matched only by his generosity and his kindness. From the CSFMB Wrestling Thread (still waiting for you to finish it pal) to his mults, his creative mind is something to behold. And despite efforts to spmack him down, he has persevered.

Well I don’t want this to get sini-esque, so I will conclude by saying that it is my absolute honour and privilege to present to you the newest member of the Chicago Sports Fan Message Board Hall of Fame, the once-imitated but never duplicated, The Original Kid Cairo!

Wow. First, I meet the woman of my dreams, now I get in the board HOF. This is truly the validation I have been seeking for damn near 7 years.

I would like to thank the Veterans Committee for this endorsement. I have always been a quality over quantity kind of poster. Although not a member of the 1000 Club, I do remember one thousand posts being a big deal in these parts and being ridiculed for not posting enough.

I'll have to pick out an inductor for me should they choose to accept. Thank you CSFMB!!
