Inspired by Darkside shooting himself in the face.

I think it should take into account expectations, though, or we will all be listing weird shit like Megashark vs. Dinocrock with Jaleel White or some shit.

I'll go with Bowfinger. It had big names, and I saw it at the theater and it was an absolute piece of shit. I don't even remember the year, nor will I look it up because it scarred me.

Whaddya got?

I know I said in his thread that Kranks might be the worst movie I've ever seen but I was just reminded that the wife dragged me to see "The Visit" in the theater and that was a steaming pile of elderly person shit...

Christmas with the Kranks isn't even the worst Christmas movie.
We watched 'Deck the Halls' because one of my wife's friends said 'It is the best Christmas movie I have ever seen.' It starred Mathew Brodrick and Danny Devito!

My wife doesn't talk to that woman anymore.

Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but holy shit Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is now on cable, and I sat through that turd sandwich for 2 1/2 hours yesterday. Motherfuck, I can't stand Jesse Eisenberg. I honestly cannot understand how this dude is an A-lister. He has sucked in literally everything I've seen him in. Cavill is terrible, I didn't buy BenFleck as Batman. I like Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, and the new chick that plays Wonder Woman is hot, but other than that, I hated this movie.

It did but didn't matter. I was 18 or 19 at the time, stoned, and it was still so bad I walked out of the theater about an hour in to it. Only movie I've ever walked out on.

I actually liked that film. Spooky, disturbing, and the patented Shamylan twist was imo effective.

Zack Galifianakis. Owen Wilson. A bunch of hot chicks.
That dude that did mad Men wrote and directed this. I went in thinking this was gonna be good.
But it was fucking horrible. I mean really horrible.
This might be the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. Worse than Princess Diaries. Both of them. At the same time.
I would rather stick a shish Ka Bob skewer into my penis hole than watch this again. I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a melon baller. I would like to dive head first into a pool of my own bile and vomit before rewatching this. It would be better to get aids than sit thru this.
The dialog was terrible. The characters were just like stick figures being sold as Picasso. The last 20 minutes made zero sense. The men were all misogynistic assholes and the women wanted be be treated that way. There was this completely nonsensical subplot of Amy Poehler trying to get pregnant that was completely abandoned halfway thru.
This plot was like a dream in how you float from space to space and from story to story with no recollection of how you got there or where you're trying to get next or why. And it ends just as jarring as an alarm clock wakeup.

What a terrible piece of shit.

The Bag Man

This was a bad piece of shit.

My wife wanted to have a movie after the Hawks so she's like oh its got John Cusack and De Niro and what not but mercy. I don't think this was supposed to be a comedy but it was like a comedy that wasn't funny. Or maybe it was a drama but really bad drama.

It was a classic McGuffin heist flick. Or a terrible ripoff of one.

De Niro was his usual washed up self.

Crispin Glover was terrible as a slightly psycho desk clerk. I think he was going for spooky but he came off more like a hippie version of Lloyd Christmas.

They pushed the "what's in the bag?? What could it be?? It's such a mystery! Aren't you just dying to know what's in the bag?" Angle a little too much for me. We get it. We got it from the first scene. I swear no less than 20 times in this shit fest did someone ask "did you look in that bag?".

A couple torture scene didn't save this. One ridiculous guys fighting for the wheel of the speeding car scene. One personal call from the sociopathic cops wife "I don't like chunky monkey dear"...

The dialog was childish. Like an actual child wrote this.
And no one is who they appear to be! Weird!

Oh. Easily the cheesiest thing I've seen in a movie in years. Power is out. Rooms dark. Cusack lights a match to re end something. When he's done we get a closeup of him looking up, menacingly into the camera... and dramatically blows out the match. I'm guessing this was supposed to be the final trailer shot. Pitiful.

You know why everyone wants that bag? Why they're all willing to kill for that bag? Because of what's in it.
What's it the bag? You'd kill for what's in that bag too. Its the two fucking hours you wasted watching this shit.

But you'll never get it.

My wife and I were traveling and decided to take a break at a movie.

We saw Bowfinger at 11am on opening Friday. We were the only 2 people in the theater. They had to radio up to start the movie because they weren't going to play it.

That said...Poltergeist 3.

So... Judging by the majority of responses this is worst movie we've seen in the last ten years?

I've seen a lot of shit while ravaging the Redbox's up here. Too many contenders, but let me try and find the title of this one film I couldn't even make it past 40 minutes... Brb.

Found it. This is probably the worst film I've tried to watch, but couldn't make it through in the last few years:

http://m.imdb.com/title/tt3526286/?ref_=m_nmfmd_act_15

And I guess a movie that I had mild expectations for which was really disappointing had to be when my wife dragged me to "The Huntsman".

Someone's trash is another's treasure.

That said, you will not find a more painful film experience than either "Begotten" or "Silent Tongue."

Comedies are usually the biggest culprits. "Frozen Assets", "Funny About Love", "Arthur 2: On the Rocks", the list goes on.

The first one? I liked it. The second one went off the rails pretty quick tho.

That reminds me. Out of all the Zombie movies I've seen I have to say "Lords of Salem" is right up there as one of most useless films I've sat through... I did like his last one which came out in October called "31" tho.

I thought Zombie's "Halloween" was decent for what he was going for. I can't really say it holds up to the original, but that's a classic. But the sequel, I agree, was abysmal.

His worst effort is "Lords of Salem" by far. It was like sitting in a cold shower for an hour and a half waiting for that movie to end. He's no Ken Russell.

I have yet to see "31" but I really want to. For the most part, I like Zombie's films. "Devil's Rejects" is superb, and "House of 1,000 Corpses" I thought was good, sick fun.

I appreciated Zombie trying to add back story to Michael Myers. Like you said tho, the original is a classic. The odds were stacked against him to begin with.

Devil's Rejects is a movie unlike anything else I've seen. I don't even know if it's in my top 50, but I was thoroughly entertained by that movie. The whole film has a visceral, unique energy to it. The third act is kind of average in spots, but the ending is great.

Once you get around to "31" you should review it on here.

I didn't like the original, either. A forum I frequently read at the time (2000 or so) was full of people who raved about the original and I bought the DVD on a whim expecting to really like it. It seemed like it was supposed to be Tarantino-esque or something along those lines but seemed like a cheesy USA Network movie. I wound up sending the DVD to someone on that forum.
