Someone has to tell car dealers to stop voicing their own spots. I swear, they insist on it more than anyone in any industry.

I have to agree with you. Some of the spots for SE Wisconsin are godawful. I wouldn't buy a car from
these guys on sheer principle.

Can we ban them from appearing in commercials as well? Rohrman looks like he's a recent graduate from Stroke University in his recent spots.

Only a Score radio commercial could get me to hate a patriotic song. #Roku

The Subway commercials with the bitches who take dude's food and the kid voices...
What is the deal with the kid voices??? I don't get that.
And seriously, is either bitch hot enough to let them take your food right out of your hands? :?

There is no level of hotness that would allow that to happen to me.

I get mildly aroused by that woman who makes the video for her husband to watch on his cell phone but not in public. She gives him such a down with anything look yet he doesn't seems completely suprised by her forwardness.

If I were him, I'd tell her I'll make sure to watch it with the skank I pick up in the hotel bar.

Guys, I know what you're referring. In the TV commercials, the two ladies and the one guy in an office promoting Subway's Steak Melts use kid voices for reasons I can't figure. In the radio ads for those same Subway Steak Melts, they use their regular, adult voices. What's the deal?

Yes, these are tremendously irritating. As far as 'why the kid voices,' I have a theory: my theory is that the originally conceived the commercial sans-kinds-voices, and it was just awkward. It seemed very juvenile, so they figured they'd go with it, and make the hook that it was grownups living out playground scenarios. Sure, it still makes no sense, but that's the only sense I can make of it.

Anyone seen the Jay Cutler commercial? I think it was just an NFL promo. I can't recall ever seeing him do an ad.

On the other hand, I find Mrs. Claus recording porn for Santa very disturbing.

I'd rather blow my brains out then listen to that FM station that advertises on the Score. Why do I wanna listen to their 40 song rotation incessantly? If I never here "Shook You All Night Long" ever again, it would be too soon.

It's so funny/dumb that they refuse to just let 104.3 be honest-to-goodness oldies again. It has to be "classic hits," because god forbid a radio station in this town doesn't play "Runnin' Down a Dream" or "The Logical Song" every fucking hour. It's these consultants, I tell you, the consultants. They have everyone living in this constant fear that someone somewhere might be inclined to -- gasp! -- change the station. DUN DUN DUUUUNNNN. So while television is allowed to invent cable channels dedicated to each individual hair in your ass crack, FM radio is forced to be nothing but ten-song rotations and sports talk simulcasts.

I find the elves to be more disturbing. These are men, albeit little people, jumping around giddly talking about making videos for an unrelated older man.

I'm firmly of the belief that it's best to avoid evoking imagery of some old broad's saggy tits and wrinkled pussy when pitching one's product. Call me crazy.

The original "secret video" ad was smart- sexy, yet fully clothed, left everything to the imagination.

The Clause version is just a stupid rip-off of the original, poorly thought-out. Some marketing company #FastTracker said, "Shit, our first ad was a home run, let's make a holiday version." Everyone loves Mrs. Clause, right? It'll be just as funny- never realizing the same imagination that made the first one so successful quickly turns the discussion to wrinkled, caribou-scented snapper.

If I get one more ad on this website about H.O.M.E.: The House of Music and Entertainment, I'm going to set the entirety of Arlington Heights on fire.
