I heard Salisburry for a rare time today. I don't mind that he likes Romo better then Grossman. That's fine. But as you pointed out he contradicts himself on his rationale alot. Even on TV.
Well, exactly. I don't mind whatever opinion anyone has, so long as he has a consistent rationale behind it. If there is no rationale, he's simply shooting from his hip, making shit up as he goes along. The idea is to take a rational approach in analysis of the games, and then form opinions. But Salisbury very clearly forms opinions based on gut feelings and then goes on to make up arguments on the spot to support them. Even
that wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't so goddamn smug about it and he didn't defend his position so vigorously. Even when his opinion proves wrong, he still defends it, as evidenced by his "asterisk" claim. You were wrong, Salisbury, just effin' admit it.

It's the flavor of the week at ESPN. He's a part of it. I don't mind that he picks against the Bears. But did you see that Cowboy win yesterday. It was anything but a great win. Romo didn't play great. He had no touch downs and 1 pick.
Yeah, this is becoming more obvious with each week. Those morons will say something like "you don't want to form opinions from a single week," and then in the next breath "crown" (thanks, Denny) the flavor of the week.

Plus he said today that he was a better evaluator of talent then 25 GM's.
Yeah, a truly priceless moment. "I'm a better evaluator of talent that probably 25 GM's." Seconds later... "How do I know Romo is better? I talk to GM's and stuff!"

Every time somebody calls him out and points out his hypocracy he stutters and falls back on the "I'm in the media, I played the game, I can't be wrong because of these things" He's a blow hard meat head. That's all he is.
Yeah, stuttering + radio = disaster.
