Did Sean Salisburysay the Bears should trade Rex Grossman for Tony Romo after the season this year? Huh?

Yeah, that'd be reasonable - the Cowboys have been grooming him for four years, and as soon as that pays off, they are going to trade him. Only in Sean's obese head does that make sense. Not to mention the Cowboys would have to trade a ton of salary too to justify taking on Grossman's first round contract.

I'm forcing myself to consume this craptacular radio experience. What I've learned again..

- Salisbury has not, and will never, developed a thick enough skin to withstand being only a phone call away from his adoring public
- Salisbury doesn't have opinions.. he talks to every GM on the planet and then opinion the GMs form.

- Rosey just sits there..

I think what he's saying is there is no way that the Cowboys would trade Romo for Grossman. That's fine. It's nice to see that Sean can take criticism well, though. What a meathead.

You hit the nail on the head there Sam. That was just embarassingly funny radio. It's great to hear a caller nail Sean to the wall and hear him backpedal and stutter like crazy because he doesn't know how to react. Then he just tries to big time the caller by telling him how all his GM and National TV buddies agree. Stand on your own two feet asshole and address what the caller said.

Also, here's an obvious prediction. For the rest of this show and likely for the remainder of the season Sean will keep coming back to this subject and attempt to use stats week to week to prove he was right and this ONE CALLER was wrong. He's so pathetic, I know he's going to do it. And he'll stutter every time he brings it up.

I try. I still like Rosey on this show. Once he got rid of the pimp hand thing I've been fine with him. Sean...well, the guy just simply doesn't know how to argue a point.

I'm glad to see you guys beat me to it; today was the day, I was finally forced to hit the button. Fuck Salisbury. I've fucking had it with that mongoloid. He is such a gasbag it's unbelievable. After first 4 games of the season, Sean tells us "we've got to wait to see a full body of work from Grossman." Fair enough; in fact, I agree. You have to keep and even keel and see a large body of work to form such opinions. However, after 4 games with Romo, Salisbury is ready to declare him a top 1/3 quarterback in the league. When called on it, this idiot refuses to admit his inconsistency and falls back on supposed opinions of GMs, the very GMs that he claimed only seconds earlier to be inferior in judgment to himself. Salisbury and the entire lot down there at ESPN are ready to crown whatever team has a good game each weak as the best thing since sliced bread, and whichever quarterback has a good game as a top 3 quarterback (Mike Vick, anyone?). Don't these retards ever learn? I mean, seriously!

Bad enough, I know. But that's not what made me punch the button. Next caller calls and blasts him for claiming the Cowboys are superior to the Bears. He points out the fact that Salisbury claimed that the Giants were superior to the Bears, and that they'd lose against the Giants and probably the Jets. And then it happened: that hypocritical shithead played the asterisk card. "Well, that win against the Giants you have to put an asterisk by, because they didn't play them at full strength." Ex-fucking-cuse me? Aren't you the same douche-bag that time and time again says that "no one's at full strength, blah blah blah?" Yes, yes you are, you half witted, stuttering douche. You see, this man will do or say anything, so long as it doesn't involve admitting he was wrong. He'll change an argument mid-stream, he'll contradict himself, he'll be a total hypocrite: anything to avoid admitting he was wrong.

Fuck you, Sean Salisbury. Congratulations on giving the Score another listener in the AM.

Great post. Also don't forget that this hypocrite had the balls later on in the show to tell an emailer that people "have 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason, so they can listen". Sean you are the last person in the world who has the right to give out that overused statement.

Heh, I wouldn't know; literally, the second he made that asterisk statement, I punched the button. I was considering it on the previous call, and that did it. Enough is enough. This guy is unbearably irritating; the stuttering is bad enough, but the ad-hoc arguments to support ridiculous opinions are simply intolerable.

I heard Salisburry for a rare time today. I don't mind that he likes Romo better then Grossman. That's fine. But as you pointed out he contradicts himself on his rationale alot. Even on TV. It's the flavor of the week at ESPN. He's a part of it. I don't mind that he picks against the Bears. But did you see that Cowboy win yesterday. It was anything but a great win. Romo didn't play great. He had no touch downs and 1 pick.

Plus he said today that he was a better evaluator of talent then 25 GM's. This comming from a guy that had Kurt Warner starting on his fantacy football team to start the year. I know we all make mistakes in fantacy but he brags about how he's the king of it to all athletes "Need help on your fantacy team Scott Podsednick?"

Every time somebody calls him out and points out his hypocracy he stutters and falls back on the "I'm in the media, I played the game, I can't be wrong because of these things" He's a blow hard meat head. That's all he is.

Right but for Sean "Mr. Fantacy" "I'm better then 25 GM's at evaluating talent." How could he not see that Warner was done?

Well, exactly. I don't mind whatever opinion anyone has, so long as he has a consistent rationale behind it. If there is no rationale, he's simply shooting from his hip, making shit up as he goes along. The idea is to take a rational approach in analysis of the games, and then form opinions. But Salisbury very clearly forms opinions based on gut feelings and then goes on to make up arguments on the spot to support them. Even that wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't so goddamn smug about it and he didn't defend his position so vigorously. Even when his opinion proves wrong, he still defends it, as evidenced by his "asterisk" claim. You were wrong, Salisbury, just effin' admit it.

Yeah, this is becoming more obvious with each week. Those morons will say something like "you don't want to form opinions from a single week," and then in the next breath "crown" (thanks, Denny) the flavor of the week.

Yeah, a truly priceless moment. "I'm a better evaluator of talent that probably 25 GM's." Seconds later... "How do I know Romo is better? I talk to GM's and stuff!"

Yeah, stuttering + radio = disaster.

Doug, it just happens. The desk I sit at now doesn't get 670 very good. I'd rather keep up to date with sporting news through out the day because I'm an idiot like that. I still don't mind Rosenbloom. I also enjoy when Dickerson covers which I think is averaging out to about once a week.

Actually, that's another contradiction. He is a homer, because he praises Romo & the Cowboys so much. It seems like not a second goes by that he doesn't mention his home in Dallas...
