Despite all of his other faults, Grossman is a cockly little fucker and I think that will serve him well in this situation. He may understand the enormity of the game, but will probably not be intimidated by it. However, I can see Manning crapping down his leg, especially early in the game. His second half against the Patriots last week was impressive, but still not enough to erase his long history of failing to win big games. While there is no denying that he is a great quarterback, he has yet to convince me that he has finally grown a sack. It may not be reflected in the passing stats, but I will not be surprised to see Grossman respond better than Manning to the pressure of playing in a game this big.
Agreed, TF, and every time he's been doubted across the board, like he is now with the most national pundits dubbing him the worst QB ever to make it to the Super Bowl or claiming that this is the biggest disparity in QB's between teams ever in the Super Bowl. I think Rex will rise to the occasion, and while it may not be an MVP caliber performance, I definitely believe he will perform quite well.
