Redskins will finish 2-1 and have a great shot at 3-0. Bears will have to go 2-1 or they won't make the playoffs.

So you think the Redskins go 1-2 or 0-3? I think if the Bears go 1-2, they have about a 40% chance of getting in. If they go 2-1 it'll probably be about 70-75%. After they lose to GB this week it will probably dip down to 50%.

Playoff picture is jumbled. #Bears have easiest schedule of teams in mix. Mapping out teams & remaining schedules:

Redskins (8-6): at Eagles (4-10), vs. Cowboys (8-6)

Seahawks (9-5): vs. San Francisco (9-3-1), vs. Rams (6-7-1)

Vikings (8-6): at Texans (12-2), vs. Packers (10-4)

Bears (8-6): at Cardinals (5-9), at Lions (4-10)

Cowboys (8-6): vs. Saints (6-8), at Redskins (8-6)

Giants (8-6): at Ravens (9-5), vs. Eagles (4-10)

Rams (6-7-1): at Bucs (6-8), at Seahawks (9-5)


The Bears have a 5-5 conference record right now and that could be a tiebreaker that will make things challenging for them. They most likely will have to win out and that is possible.

A couple notes:

1. Only one of the Redskins and Cowboys could finish 10-6 because they meet in Week 17. The Bears will be rooting for Dallas because they beat the Cowboys and own a head-to-head tiebreaker.

2. The Vikings’ schedule is treacherous. I simply don’t see them in the mix.

3. Who knows what to think of the defending Super Bowl champion Giants. They are reeling after a 34-0 loss at Atlanta today.

4. So, there is still plenty to be determined.

I think the Bears win @AZ, barely escape Detroit with a W, surprise the hell out of everybody and win at Lambeau Field on Wild Card weekend, then hang around in the first half and get blown to bits in the second half of their Divisional Game.

Bears have a one game lead over these three teams for the last wild card spot. Bears have the tie breaker over the Cowboys. They won't have it over the Redskins (Redskins will have a better NFC record). Vikings can't do it.
