I never said he was the biggest problem. Maybe for the Green Bay game. Not for this game.

I still don't get your response. Cutler isn't playing like most people thought he would but he isn't the biggest problem. Is that what fact you are arguing?

If you consider someone a franchise QB you should expect him to play like one. If you give up a lot of valuable draft picks for an all pro QB you should expect him to play like one. It's pretty simple.

frank, i cant tell if you legitimately cant comprehend what me and rick are saying or you're just playing dumb. He'll probably play as well as rodgers against those sorry teams. The difference is rodgers has played well against good teams and on the road. Cutler hasn't. Rodgers doesn't turn the ball over and cutler does anytime he's faced adversity. This goes back to his denver days too

Due to the offensive line problems, the team has had no running game, and Cutler has to get rid of the ball quickly.

I don't think we should panic about his performance given the offensive line issues.

I'm not sure what you want the guy to do. He's down 28-0 in the first four possessions. Is he supposed to "manage" the game still without any risky downfield throws and slowly get the Bears back to 28-14 by the end of the 4th quarter? Anyone down four scores before you can blink is going to have to make risky throws, and is much more likely to sprinkle in a few pics. Toss out the Packers game (a dud, of course), and when has Cutler really underperformed in a close game?

Has Aaron Rodgers been put in a 28-0 first half deficit on the road by the Packers' defense? No, he's had a bad o-liine as well and has managed his passing in close games and against inferior opponents.

It's funny to me that in the same thread someone can call QB "the most important position in all of sports" and then someone can basically blame every other player on the team for poor performance of the QB.

The QB is "the most important position in all of sports", but it's a team game. If the offensive line isn't doing it's job, it's going to be more difficult for the skill position players to do their job.

I don't think any QB could have made that game more respectable. When your defense gives up TD drives of about 80, 75, 67 and 63 on the first 4 possessions and when the opposing team doesn't punt until the middle of the 4th quarter, its hard to believe any QB could have kept the team in the game. Add to that an offensive line that can't pass block, and the fact the Bears went away from the running game in the 2nd quarter letting the Bengals tee off on Cutler, its hard for me to put a majority of blame on Cutler.

Agreed - yesterday was a bad day on all fronts. The defense was destroyed, the offense wasn't much better.
