Other receivers aren't complaining about Fields repeatedly overthrowing them by 10 yards. STFU and be a leader.

I have no issues with Fields holding others to a higher standard. They probably ran that play all week and St. Brown dogged it on that play to lose the game.

I do when he isn't holding himself to that standard.

He was incredibly slow in breaking back to the ball, which consequently would have been intercepted regardless of what Fields was doing. Is there video showing Fields "stare down" of St. Brown?

I am interested in hearing Dilfers grade/thoughts on this play

It makes you wonder about whether or not the staff believes the Cover-2 is the model going forward, or if that's what their doing based on the talent they have.

The "Tampa Terrible" aka "Cover-Who" defense hasn't been relevant in the NFL in over a decade. They need to shit can the entire scheme. I would love to seem them hire Gym Shorts as the defensive coordinator for next season.

I'm not debating the irrelevancy of the Tampa-2 Bob. I'm saying it's being used because it is seen by the current staff as the best way NOT to get torched worse than they have been based on the talent pool.

Eberflus ran the Cover 2 in Indy with substantially more talent.

Be that as it may...

but seriously then, there may be merit to Bob's outrage in this case.

genius Bob will always find something to be outraged over that is for certain. When the Bears win the Super Bowl, he'll complain about the parade route or something silly like that.

That was a zone defense that kept Rodgers on his heels for 3 quarters.

Playing with a 3rd string slot corner

A 3rd string slot corner

And a 3rd string free safety.

I'm not sold on Alan Williams, but it's hard to evaluate a guy when he has no pass rush to scheme with.

I thought the Bears were going to get the doors blown off yesterday. I'm not sold on him either, but that was a great job of coaching.

They gave up 28 points to a crippled, geriatric QB. Your definition of great is odd.

Rodgers has destroyed far better Bears defenses. He looked clueless yesterday. If the Bears had Georgia's front 4, he would have been sacked 10 times.

I've followed him. I ASSuMEd facing the Bears, and their practice squad secondary, would lead to an offensive explosion.

Right.

The secondary yesterday was largely scrap heap and practice squad guys, some of whom were making their NFL debut against a surefire HOF QB. Teams have feasted on the Bears defensive backs this at different times this season, yet there seemed to be a good gameplan in place and the defensive backfield held their own for the most part despite having to cover guys for 4-5-8 seconds per play since there was absolutely zero pass rush.

But yeah, lets fire the coach who clearly helped those kids play well yesterday

Yeah, he coached them up to allowing a "meager" 28 points.

Must be the second coming of Buddy Ryan!

I'd say when he stood up in front of a roomful of reporters and apologized to his teammates for losing the Jets game. He also showed up to play in that game when many people wanted him to sit out the game and TANK IT for the season. He showed a lot of leadership already in this season and wanting his teammates to show up and do their own job I think is warranted.

We may only need a center. That's a lot more money to fill others needs.

I'd say center, left guard, and right tackle are definite needs on the offensive line.

You want to move on from Whitehair next season? I'm saying that based on the video. If Leatherwood continues to make progress, that would free up a significant free agent investment.
