Velus has been a bust, and now he muffs a kick and (potentially) ends Odunze's rookie season.

Doesn’t look good, was a really simple play where he didn’t get hit weird or anything.. if your knee goes on a play like that it’s usually not good news.

Let’s hope for the best.

As Hawg said, I believe Velus Jones rolled his knee the play before. We would probably already know if it was an ACL.

Again, just pick a sampling of 5 quarterbacks you hope Williams is as good as. Then look at what they did their rookie years.

Why don't you pick five that you believe he will be since you're so sold on him.

Brick sure expected the kid to "struggle mightily" during that first game didn't he? Just Asking A Question

The point is that you can't really predict greatness from the rookie year of a quarterback. Some great rookie years ended up not working out long term(RGIII, Watson, Winston). Some bad to average rookie years, if they even played, ended up being HOF players(Brees, Manning, Fields).

I think Williams will be good this year and great next year.

LGBTQ Guy just cant stop lusting after his crush fields. He must be jealous of all the defensive tackles Field's runs into for sacks. Wishes he could trade places.

It's friggen hilarious that LGBT Pronoun Guy doesn't realize he's comparing a four year vet against a rookie and thinking its a good thing that the four year vet looked decent when compared to a rookie.

There are QBs in the HOF that are closer to Johnny Manziel than they are to Patrick Mahomes.

I think that's just saying those guys are pedestrian in comparison to a Mahomes. Basically that they're closer to being NFL busts than possibly in a GOAT discussion.

Johnny Manziel played in 14 NFL games. That pretty much ends the comp right there.

Johnny Manziel was a bust.Namath and Griese were not. Their Comp. Would be someone like a Tomczak I guess stats wise.

I think it's paying respect to Brady and Mahomes. As someone who isn't 80, I also think the gap between NFL player and Bob Griese is wider than Bob Griese and Patrick Mahomes.

Calling a guy a bust after his debut game is downright stupid.
Calling him great before he plays a game is stupid

I do recall predicting that statistically, this rookie season, Fields would likely have better numbers.

History is filled with guys who debuted to historic games (say for example tuffy rhodes) and guys who became hall of farmers who who struggled for a year or more.

We gave fields 3 years to show improvement. He never did. Let's give Williams a chance to see if he can adjust to the NFL and it's speed.
