If Cutler is here in year 4 that means the Bears made at least two bad quarterback draft picks. The whole deal seems to be designed to get rid of him then.

Even if he becomes elite, you still probably give him the Drew Brees treatment and send him to a lesser city like New Orleans.

True, but 54 mill is 54$ ....that cant change. there is not a single person who can make a case for giving this average at best qb 54 instead of 16 million tag n see how it goes. It is just dumb anyway ya cut it.

Well since the Bears didn't make the playoffs, this is all we've got.

On B&B, they just said that the "restructure" part of the contract is standard across the whole league with pretty much any big deal.

I thought they said via Billick that is was standard in the big QB contracts when he called him Bank of Cutler for cap relief purpose but yeah they mentioned it.

Awesome. I'm on record saying this won't happen. I'd be happy with it too.

Cutler on pace for 4150 yards and 38 TDs.

Rick is almost happy with Cutler.

He'll get that extra 22 yards per game, yet, Rick.

According to my math he's on pace for 41.6 touchdowns.

Did we limit it to passing? I thought a touchdown was a touchdown. If we did that's fine.

I assumed it was passing touchdowns.

There is more to it than just TD's. I will take Russell Wilson over Jay every time.

Its the NFL. THat schedule may turn out to be easy. You never know.

I know but I disagree. Some of those bad teams will be good next season. Injuries made them bad. The Packers and the Lions will be tough too. It's really hard for me to see many of those teams being bad.

Another one

If reports of Cutler getting $50m guaranteed are true, that would be the 2nd most in NFL(Rodgers). #Bears

That should get Emery fired. He was a tough negotiator with Forte and others but allowed his love of Cutler's talent to make him do something foolish.
