A few weeks in and a few things have become blatantly obvious.
Poles is either one of the worst offensive line talent evaluators in NFL history or he has too big an ego to move away from his handpicked guys. A journeyman has come in and significantly outplayed Nate Davis, a guy that Poles loves for some odd reason even though the rest of the world can see the guy is giving a half ass effort. You can say the same thing across the o line where he handed starting jobs to guys that have proven nothing. This lack of awareness will severely limit the team. The time he wasted fretting about releasing a journeyman DB would have been much better spent looking for interior offensive line help.
Eberflus decided to blitz on nearly every play which handed easy completions to the veteran QB he was facing, he also got gashed in the run game, and was unable to or unwilling to make adjustments.
Does Waldron do anything, you can see why the team had to get after him to "coach them harder", they look lost at times.
It seems the country club atmosphere you saw on Hard Knocks was actually accurate, they are getting roasted every week for the stupid slip and slide waste of time crap.
If you think that Bears blitzed on almost every play yesterday, then you were playing Madden and just got mixed up.
The Bears line is bad, and criticisms of its make up are on Poles.
Shane Waldron stuck with the run yesterday and the Bears won. Good for him...for once in 4 games.
