So, to be clear, Steve thinks Incognito is the Hitler of this situation and Jonathan Martin is the Jews

By that logic and applying that specific example Steve believes the Holocaust was the fault of the jews.

Shoulda popped Hitler right in the kisser!

Sure can have it both ways in this situation. Martin is a big (330, not just 300 pounds) strong guy. But he's mentally soft and weak. That's why he could dish it out when it came to hazing, but couldn't take it. That's why he didn't stand up for himself and instead went and ratted out his teammates and even then had someone else do it for him.

So you think the only way to have solved someone talking shit to him was violence?
You don't think that the nonviolent methods he used were effective?
Is this a lesson that you would want your child to see? Is this how you would want your child to act? To commit crimes rather than to tell someone what's going on?

Anne Frank needed to come out of that attic and stand up for herself. Weak ass bitch!

I can't believe those pussies in New Orleans let Katrina bully them like that. Pathetic.

If only Coach Ditka would've stuck around 10 more years, would've never happened.

I think the cowardly methods he chose to employ did great harm to not only any individuals he had issue with, but every player on the team, his coaches, management, the owners and the fans. But he wasn't really giving anyone else much consideration. He is not a team player. I would never want a child of mine to behave in such a way. Standing up to a bully that has provoked such a response is hardly a crime. It's the right way to respond.

When it comes to personal safety Team "Me" is more important than any other team. I imagine he probably felt that he couldn't win any of them over and the bullying would continue. I grew up on Steve's way of thinking (always defend yourself no matter what) and I still believe in it but sometimes you have to retreat in order to win. IF he comes back to play he won't have to worry about bullying anymore. I'm not sure about the language in the CBA but I imagine he also has a good lawsuit on his hand. That's more that any punch could have given him.

This is going to be just like the George Zimmerman deal. Most people rush to judge and then lots of facts come out later to prove their initial take on the matter WRONG. Ironically, there was a Martin involved in both cases. Lots of blame will wind up being spread between the parties, with nobody walking away unscathed. Martin will wind up regretting the fact that he brought all this to light, when it's shown he was just as guilty as Incognito and others of the kind of transgressions that he complained of having to endure.

Lots of facts....stuff and things and what not. I'm still waiting for Martin to speak or go on the record. As for Zimmerman, not much can be said anymore on his behalf. Unless his is the only word he doesn't sound like a "good" guy.

The Brand called in to the Professor and tried to lead him into saying there isn't as much evidence as people thought against Incognito, and then Clayton said there seems to be more evidence against him coming out every day.

Actually, what I asked was how the Professor saw the Conference between the Dolphins and Incognito going. Incognito had requested a hearing because the Dolphins have never detailed the grounds for his indefinite suspension. They claimed misconduct, but never detailed any specific act/acts. The league has spoken to Dolphin players and they have reportedly all agreed that they had no issue with any language used by Incognito. Were there lots of things Incognito did that could be grounds for a suspension? Sure. But if they use incidents that several other players also were guilty of engaging in, they would have to suspend those players too then. It's all very complicated and I wondered how Clayton saw it all going down. I wondered if he thought Incognito might play again for the Dolphins this year and he does not see that as being at all likely. That makes sense, as the backlash they would get if they did allow him back would be considerable. I doubt either of them ever plays for the Dolphins again.
