I don't really agree. I believe some people draw lines in the sand for what they think is acceptable and what isn't and they won't bend. In some ways that is a good thing. There are women who won't budge from things that they feel is sexism. They shine a light for all to see. By doing this in many cases they will force men to tone down the rhetoric and treat them with the same respect they would treat their own mother. Look at what has happened for all minorities by standing up even for things that some considered petty. Look at what is happening in the gay community because they aren't willing to bend on even the smallest of issues.
All I can say is don't sweat the small stuff. I shine my light pretty bright there are things I don't and won't accept but I'm not going to raise a stink about petty stuff. I think there should be more "bend". Digging heels in on both sides of this type of issue does no good.
All women are a little wild except for mothers and grandmothers...but even your fathers and grandfathers have stories...
I love you stoneroses even though you are a NY fan. It maybe your only flaw.
