definitely the Saux for me, but a close second would be the Rockies. Colorado's one of my favorite states, I love Denver, and out of the new expansion teams, they're the only ones I didn't have a problem with. And they're a great story, too. Besides, Broncos fans could use something to cheer for...

There are two (2) inferences that may be drawn from your last remark:

1) Will the Red Sox prevail against the Cleveland Indians?; or
2) Will I pay off my bet?

I would like to hear a Yankee's fan thoughts on the future. The team is in a definite state of flux. I think they can bring together a good everyday lineup for next year. I don't think the pitching staff, both starters and relievers, is going to be dramatically better. The continued committment of cash by the Blue Jays may also impact the success of the team.

I find it very odd that guys like Rivera and Posada would consider not coming back. The Yanks have been loyal to them, made them household names and made them very wealthy. Also for a guy like Rivera, it always looks great for you legacy to have played with the same team for an entire career.

I don't think they are in a state of flux. They are still a good team. They will be rid of Roger Clemens, and can spend to make up for other mistakes on the team.

They are most likely losing the MVP, their hall of fame closer, possibly their all star catcher, their manager and at least 2/5 of their starting staff. That's flux.

It does not mean they will not come out smelling like a rose. Lowell would be a great pickup at third, while also injuring their competition. They have enough mlb ready young talent to trade for a top line starter or two as well.

I actually had what you verbalized in inference #1 in mind. I happen to feel that the Indians will prevail, but the Red Sox will manage to make it a series.
