Having a Griffey farewell tour and electing Edgar Martinez to the HOF seem as important as winning. They cling to the record-breaking 2001 season as if the ALCS didn't happen. 30+ seasons of fail. The smartest move they could make is trading Ichiro in the offseason.
Agreed. Wakamatsu seems like a bright guy, I hope he lands another job somewhere.
