We're definitely going to have to identify the poor souls who were truly great pitchers but couldn't pitch over their poor run support

Like Nolan Ryan

I would argue that Nolan Ryan had great abilities, but he was somewhat less than a great pitcher. He's a freakish guy.

He was a less than great fighter, too. Its not often a guy has someone in a headlock and ends up losing.

Schilling Bumgarner and Morris are hall of famers

Bumgarner isn't there yet. Morris has had his chances and SABRmetrics aren't helping him. Schilling is a maybe. I wouldn't put any of them or Johan Santana in before Doc Gooden.

Gooden is in mine for sure. I think they reward longevity too much and don't appreciate shorter term dominance.

Bumgarner Schilling and Morris are in for the post season stuff.

My Ryan comment was just giving Rogue shit. I'm biased on Ryan cause I hate him.

Robin Ventura lights up a room. Then, he lights up Nolan Ryan.
