Posting this here instead of General Discussion to target the right crew. . .

For the hockey guys on the board . . . we have a Mite and a Squirt. We've got an opportunity to buy semi-private skating lessons with a GroupOn style discount --- five families teaming up for skating only lessons (no hockey) with a one instructor/two kids ratio.

I've heard that skating only skills are the most valuable lessons in which you can invest. True?

yes, skating is definitely the most important skill for a developing (or any) hockey player.


You should still focus on other skills with a stick, but at that young an age you can never get enough/too much instruction in skating.
