Horseshoe? This is a team with limited talent in the O-Line and no talent at WR. Lovie keeps making these teams better then they are.

What is Lovie doing to the OL and WR's to make them better?

Absolutely nothing. That is why they are "better"

The word is that during the pre-season he hired a blacksmith to craft the spikes on their shoes in a horseshoe like pattern. This is the secret to playing on the pasture that is Soldier Field.

Mac, its a perfect comparison. 20 strokes off the golf game is exactly what Mike Tice has done with this OL.

The Giants game, the Bears Oline shot a 127 out there. Since then, they have been under 100 every round. Not great, haven't broke 90 yet, but still very much improved.

Lovie hired the coaches that made the OL and WR's better.

He deserves a share of the credit when they do well and wpould take a bow i'm sure if it was his nature to do so. Thankfully, it is not.

They definitely broke 90 in the Jets game.

There was interesting stats on espn yesterday about the last Bears meeting.

The Pack blitzed their secondary 3 times in the first half of the week 17 match up.
The Pack blitzed their secondary 16 times in the second half of the week 17 match up.

If Cutler can identify the blitzing D-back better, he could become like Kurt Warner in last year's Cardinals-pack play-off game.

If he can't then the O-line will look bad and the Pack may romp. I hope he calls Warner this week, or watches the tape of that game until eyes glaze over.

Seacrest, is there a reason you only co-host with Dan Bernstein and Matt Smiegel?

Because they were down 3-0 at home in a must win game. Desperation!

That very well may be Francis. But QB's that can identify and beat a blitz are usually the winner when the final gun goes off.

If Cutler gets hit early Sunday like Brady did, it could be a very long day. I hope not, but regardless, the Pack looks like the best team in the NFL right now.

Good thing you explained Byron's own joke to him.

So the 6 the Packers got don't count? I would credit Lovie/Martz for reducing the number of pass plays as much as anything Tice has done.

Scorehead,
You are right. I should get in the spirit of things. I'm scared. I think my Bears might get an old fashioned ass-whoopin. It might go the other way, too. I don't think the game will be close,no matter who wins. I smell a blowout.

Thata Boy. Dont worry about the Bears. They'll be fine. I still think the line is wrong.

Every gambler thinks the line is wrong. If not they'll walk to the window saying '$100 on Caesars to be right'.

Yeah. Pretty disappointed with the coverage this week. I'm a regular listener either online or to podcast and was pumped for this week's shows. By Wednesday, I had pretty much given up on the Score and even switched to Waddle and Silvy, which I never listen to.

Tired of every Bears fan being called a meatball. Tired of all the whining about Cutler, the O-Line and everything else. I did listen to podcast of Fouts interview and loved it when Mac complained about all the talk and Fouts put him in his place saying: "Isn't that what they pay you to do?" Sorry for all the agony this is bringing you, Mac. Maybe the Bears will bring you some relief and lose so you don't have to go through this next week.

I'm not a meatball. Like Mac, I wanted to Bears to go 5-11 and fire everybody. I'm tired of this regime. But, hey, they surprised us and put together a memorable season. I'm realistic, but I think the Bears have a chance, unlike most everyone at the Score. Did they even watch the games the Bears and Packers played? Yes, the Packers had 18 penalties in game one. But, they were good calls. I watched the replay this week. Lots of false starts, they were holding Peppers on every play, and there were obvious late hits. The ESPN crew didn't have any problem with the calls. Also, why make excuses for the Packers, but not bring up that the Bears missed a FG and D. Clark dropped a touchdown pass on fourth down that resulted in no points? So, maybe the Bears should have won that one 30-17.

The Bears have been lucky all year? Lucky that they played Carolina when Cutler was out? Agreed. But they won the game with Todd Collins. I'd say GB was lucky to play Detroit when Rodgers was out. How did that go? Minny had a third string QB when the Bears beat them? Well, Philly couldn't beat Minny and it cost them a higher seed in the playoffs.

Not saying the Bears are perfect. Not saying I love the personalities of Lovie, Cutler, Urlacher. But I was expecting more from the Score. Never thought I'd turn them off during NFC Championship week.
