8 of 11 starters on the jets offense are first round picks and 14th in the league in scoring is the best this kid can do?

Underwhelming
Overhyped
And toast

Theres no way this kid gets past the elite teams in the AFC to maketoper the super bowl.

You might want to repost this somewhere else. I don't think Mac reads this section.

hes a 2nd year player, and he has dramatically improved from last season. not everyone can be lights out right off the bat, it can take time and be a rough process. he may not ever be a top 10 qb, but i actually think the guy shows a decent amount of leadership from a young player, and, on occasion, he has looked pretty good. i think he would really benefit from braylon edwards actually catching some of the passes that bang off his hands once in a while. new england had the whole jets offense figured out, and certainly made sanchez look terrible monday night, but to say he is no way he gets the team through the playoffs is over-stating it.

That's not what you said. This is what you said - Theres no way this kid gets past the elite teams in the AFC to maketoper the super bowl.

Was New England not elite? I'm sure you had the Jets beating Indy as well considering how horrible you think Sanchez is.

There's no fault in admitting you were wrong.

Mark Sanchez in the playoffs has now beaten San Diego, Indianapolis, and New England.

For the second straight year, he's one win away from maketoper the super bowl.

Don't forget to send that memo when he's accomplished the task I tried to type on my cell phone: make it to the Super Bowl!

You also called him underwhelming and overhyped. If your whole point was that Mark Sanchez is unlikely to make it to the Super Bowl this year then congratulations on such a hard hitting post!

OK Mac Jr. Don't forget that Cutler sucks and Lovie should be fired too.

Maybe there is some Allen Brothers in it for you.

If I'm not mistaken, Rex Ryan and his defense got most of the credit for last week's game. Congratulations to Mark Sanchez on shredding the 30th ranked pass defense in the NFL for 194 yards.

If the Jets win this weekend, Sanchez will have the most road Playoff wins (5) EVER for a QB in the history of the NFL.

How many touchdown passes did he have?

3

He's also the 27th best quarterback in the NFL:

He's a modern day David Woodley.

In the event the Jets and the Packers make it to the Super Bowl - they've certainly gone through a gauntlet from Hell to get there:

Jets @ Indy, @ NE and @ Pittsburgh

Packers @ Philly, @ Atlanta and @ Chicago

But I highly doubt both teams can pull it off.

David Woodley.... LOL... I crack myself up.

I'm convinced. I absolutely love those rankings.

Hey, I'll give credit where credit's due - Sanchez has been playing his ass off the past several weeks. Maybe the injured shoulder knocked some talent and confidence into the kid.

He does sound exactly like Mac when talking about the Bears - in this case, no matter what Sanchez does, it's not good enough, but he'll sure tell you when he doesn't get the job done.

Did I not state he needs to win the Super Bowl in my initial post? You sound like Lil Danny Bernstein now. A little prick that hides behind a microphone (or in this case a keyboard), beating your opinion into the ground when I clearly complemented the guy in this thread today, but he STILL has not won the Super Bowl. ...let the record show...

Lol... Make it to the Super Bowl - I stand corrected!

Then Sanchez can follow in the footsteps of those before him: Rex grossman, Neil odonnell and the aforementioned David Woodley.

No arm (Grossman), no brain (O'Donnell) and no ability (Woodley). You could theoretically combine the "best" (fwiw) those 3 had into one player and Sanchez is far, far better. Be fair.

Ok, he's got the durability of Chris Chandler.

Mark "Dirty" Sanchez is 4-1 in playoff games, with all 4 wins coming on the road.
Peyton Manning is 9-10 in playoff games.
Having said that, no sane person would prefer Sanchez to Manning.
