Da Bears will not lose MY FRIEND.

But.... if they did it depends on the manner in which they lost. A blowout loss would be better than a missed FG down by 2 with no time left.

....and if they win and then win it all......will everyone enjoy it, celebrate and then put the trophy in the trophy case and move on to the next season.....or will it become a thing of meatball legend (85) and be brought up every waking moment till eternity?

If they win it will be great.

If they lose, the instant "fire Lovie" calls will be humorous for next 6 months.

Loss = 30 minutes, tops. If it's a blowout, I'll be over it before the game is over.

Win + SB win = it will become a thing of meatball legend and be brought up every waking moment till eternity (or as I call it, a 31 year old's version of Super Bowl XX)

it'll suck because if you choose stay interested in the Super Bowl... you will have to listen to all the Packers news & associated SB hype for 2 weeks. Then if the Packers were to happen to win the SB...then Aaron Rodgers becomes God forever.

Go Bears!

I'll be sadder than TTB going after that 19 year old cashier at Target.

I'm not sure how long I'd be saddened if the Bears lose to the Packers in the NFC Championship Game, if at all. I'd likely focus on Derrick Rose and the Bulls, the Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks and NASCAR if the Bears flop on Championship Sunday.

Should the Bears lose, I will not be sad for even one (1) second. I will, however, instantly be overcome with homicidal rage for the foreseeable future.

So....anyone up for watching the game with me?

Hey, Lovie. Take a seat. First off, congrats on winning the Superbowl and everything. That was pretty awesome considering your team looked like a steaming pile of crap before the season started. It's been really exciting for all of us.....which makes this next part very difficult...

This team has been so unbelievably lucky. The GM thinks we don't have the talent. They've changed the way they'd played but not sure they've changed enough or are playing the best to their ability.

Isn't that the result of good coaching?

I will immediately take a sip of my Ditka's kick ass red then pour one on the ground for the fallen beloved. Then go to RoyBoy's and get blue and orange tears tattooed on my cheeks.

This whole "lucky" thing is getting so overplayed. Sure they have had some good breaks this year, but so has every team that is left playing. Any team that wins a superbowl has some good breaks along the way. But no matter what you do not get to the Conference title game and/or a Superbowl just on "luck"

The national and most of local media have to either say it was luck or admit they were wrong and are clueless because they picked the Bears to win 6 games and finish behind the Lions.

I wasn't in love with the plan from the beginning. I'm still not. I'm glad they realized they needed to change things but they all knew this was it for them. It's easy to take those risks when your ass is on the line. They were more forced into it rather than them making good decisions.

I think Tice is good. Martz still has me worried. Lovie is still a boob.

You gotta be kidding. You think they won this year because they are a good talented team? They are serviceable, still some of the more talented players could be playing better. They get a lot out of the less talented players but not near enough out of the ones that have the talent, IMO.

I'm glad with where they are. It's anybody's game now.

They won this year because of good coaching. That starts with Lovie and can include the other guys, if you like....

If the talent is bad, and the coaching is bad, how can they have gotten this far?

The anti-Lovie crowd would still be out in full force, even if they win a championship.
