There are many Spiegel haters here. He doesn't want to read or post on the board anymore because of all the venom. I told him that he should take most of it as constructive criticism, but it's not happening anymore for him.

At his best Spiegel is capable of eliciting nothing more than tepid enthusiasm from even his most "ardent" fans.

I've heard people say that they don't think Spiegel is as bad as he's frequently portrayed here, but does anyone (perhaps with the exception of good dolphin, who apparently doesn't even listen to the Danny Mac show) actively like Spiegel? Does anyone listen to the Danny Mac show to hear Spiegel's thoughts? The number of people who do so--if, in fact, there are any--must be vanishingly small.

Yes, actually. I respect his knowledge of both sports and music. He is a baseball nut (no, I didn't type something else) and find him to be rather knowledgable and enthusiastic about it. And his so called annoying laugh really doesn't bother me all that much.

Maybe I'm a bit biased from knowing him a little and having worked with him, but I think I'm one of the few that prefer when he's with Mac as opposed to some fill in when he's gone.

I listen for Mac but Meat doesn't chase me away like Harry did. I do like hearing his baseball thoughts though I rarely agree with him. Meat is just alright with me.

I've said it before.....I just don't get the hatred over Spiegs. Seems like he would be a good guy to hang and have a few beers with. Pretty knowledgeable on all sports, minus hockey which he has admitted himself.
